I think many people here are confused about what the word racism means. It does black people a disservice when they misuse the words prejudice, racist and bigoted. It’s laughable and hard to take people seriously who have so much anger who don’t literally know what those words mean.

Agreed. There are a lot of whites that don’t see racism when it exists and a lot of blacks who see racism where it doesn’t exist.

It isn’t the responsibility of POC to raise their awareness, plus most whites don’t want to hear it, so it saves POC time that they could do something more productive with.

Particularly if you aren’t around POC and if that’s the case their interest in a conversation will be low.

I don’t see or experience anyone being overly concerned about white people’s feelings and why would they. Just say it like it is. The facts and statistics speak for themselves.
