What keeps me from Goldeneye being an upper Bond is the horrible score. The funny thing is the parts of the score that work great are used in the N64 game but the majority of it is terrible in the movie.

I don’t think it helped that World had some of the blandest cinematography of the series. It somehow made all the world travelling dull looking.

Apted is a well regarded director but not for this type of movie and it really shows.  Honestly I like the World is not Enough the best of Brosnan’s movies. I like the scope of the story, but visually and pacing wise it’s dull.

I think the problem with the Brosnon run, was outside of Martin Campbell, the directors were less then stellar. I think the World is not Enough has probably the strongest script for the 4 Brosnon movies but the blandest direction and cinematography. Die another Day starts of ok and then goes completely off the rails

I never understood the massive praise for Skyfall. It’s not a bad movie but too much of it takes place in London. It feels like we missed a bunch of movies between Quantum and Skyfall.

I don’t think any of Craig’s movies stand out as terrible. Quantam of Solace is not great but it’s short and has some decent action scenes. The script is almost non existent but doesn’t put Bond in a clown suit or anything. I don’t really get the hate for Spectre, to me Spectre could be fixed with a couple of post

I’m wonder if there has been any optimization to windows updates at all. Windows 10 is an exercise in frustration with the frequency of updates and reboots. I remember years ago Microsoft talking about less reboots for updates but it’s been worse now.

No I mean that the Peter Parker character was never really as much of a sad sack as what he was in the Raimi movies. Maybe the 1st few issues of Amazing Spiderman, but it really seemed like Raimi only read very early Spiderman and nothing since then. The Peter Parker/Spiderman dynamic was never like Clark

Garfield’s movies didn’t suck because they were more contemporary they sucked because they were a downright mess. Someone’s insistence on doing the untold story of Peter’s parents, that no one wanted to see, messed up both movies. I still think the best spidey sequence on screen is the opening of ASM2 where Peter is

I would say S3 was both crowded and sparse at the same time ,

No offense to Raimi, but his Spiderman movies were adapted form an era that hadn’t existed in almost 40 years when this came out. It was great seeing Spiderman on the big screen but I could never buy into the main cast, except for JK Simmons and the villain cast.

It wasn’t my favourite Flannigan series but I still enjoyed it. Part of me wished that Flannigan had been charge of The Stand instead of the crap we go on CBS all access.

Was Coming 2 America really a success?

I can’t really understand Desantis. It’s one thing if you don’t take covid seriously, but I can’t understand the amount of work that is going into preventing any sort of mitigation in Florida.

The big issue I had with the Aladdin movie was that it was visually bland. Why hire Guy Ritchie if he isn’t going to use his kinetic style. Honestly the right fit for me would have been Baz Luhrmann.

I’ve seen the Lion King (94) more times then I can count. Not only was the “live action” version lacking any sort of character but it was off putting to watch a movie so close to the original but lacking the familiar beats. The closest experience I can compare it too, is when I saw the Empire Strikes Back Special

So I can never understand why Republican’s are so hell bent on protecting fetus’ life but provide next to no support once a child is born. Look it’s clear the real issue isn’t about abortion but about control. If this was really about pro-life then there would universal care for children once they are born, child care

So if anyone can help clarify, who is responsible for paying the 10,000 dollars, wouldn’t the person reporting have to demonstrate damages in court? Aren’t medical records private, is the burden of proof lower under this “law”

I wouldn’t say they work fine in Canada. In my experience they were terrible at making more then a couple of ice creams at a time before the ice cream came out too soft. I don’t know how places like Dairy Queen managed to make ice cream all day long.

Every Ryan Murphy shows starts off good then goes off the rails.
