I will disagree and say I think in terms of Harry Potter, POA is the best Williams Harry Potter score.

I’m not a fan of pre A New Hope shows but I do like the exploration of the time post Return of the Jedi. I think it’s a far more interesting set of story possibilities with the building of a new republic etc. Honestly the worst part of the sequel trilogy was the world building. Abrams did a terrible job setting up

In my opinion Lucas’ directing got worse with each episode. The fight between Palpatine and the few jedi who come to arrest him is the sloppiest looking scene in any Star Wars movie.

I think Chamber of Secrets is stronger then the 1st one. It’s a bit long but does feel like a novel on film. Visually it’s stronger and has much better visual effects.

Columbus gets a lot of credit for the casting and setting up the world, but his visual direction is so dull and uninspiring. Even resorting to a standard straight shot of the kids screaming like something out of Home Alone. I think the script of Azkaban was too lean but visually it really was a huge jump in quality.

I think for me the best looking Spiderman movie is Amazing Spiderman 2. The use of shooting in New York makes a huge difference to the feel of the movie. It’s a mess of a movie for sure but it has a scope that none of the other Spiderman movies seem to have matched visually.

I think my main issue with the Raimi movies, is I feel like the main cast are not right for their parts. I never felt like Toby, Dunst or Franco fit the parts. For me Toby is too much Clark Kent rather then Peter Parker and doesn’t really embrace Spiderman’s cockyness when in the mask. Dunst didn’t have the energy

I’m going to say,  I never got the hype over X2 or Spiderman 2. Spiderman 2 had the awesome train scene but other then that everyone in my opinion is a worse actor in the 2nd movie. It’s too hokey the whole losing his powers because of confidence doesn’t work for me. As for X2 , it’s better then X-men but it suffers

Honestly this is the best wig/hairtransplant whatever is going on on his head he has had in years.

I’m not a Snyder fan but the biggest disappointment with Justice League was how visually small it felt, there couldnt have been more then a handful of locations , and none were very interesting. I’m skeptical about how big the movie will feel in the new Snyder version.

Here’s my take, I think both Man of Steel and Batman V Superman went with the complete wrong tone and are a mess in editing. That being said, I think Snyders Justice League would have at least been more interesting then whatever by the numbers low budget looking thing that was Whedon’s version.

I think Whedon is one of the guys who needs someone to temper his writing style a bit. His quipy dialogue and pop culture references can go off the rails when not controlled.

I know when I think of a sequel series to Silence of Lambs, CBS the home of milqtoast Jag, NCIS is where I picture it.

Netflix is a strange beast at times, their TV shows and limited series are relatively cinematic yet their movies are increasingly medicore and visually dull.

Ron Howard is hit or miss, it seems if he has a strong script and subject matter he really likes his movies are pretty good.  If the script is not great then he can’t elevate the material, look at the Da Vinci Code, in better hands that should have been a pulpy thriller, instead it’s plodding and ugly.

I’d like to add that there are a few establishing CGI shots of the Mountain that are very clear that completely contrasts with the photography, it’s very jarring.

Exactly, somewhere along the way they forgot that the forefathers were not prophets and couldn’t possibly know what changes in society would happen 200 years later. That’s why I don’t understand this originalist interpretations.

And that’s the difference, our Charter is modern and updated when need be, unlike the US which seems to have a group of people who from what I can tell take the Constitution literally , even though it’s 200 + years old. They seem to treat the constitution like George Washington came down from Mount Sinai and

At the very least if Burton had done the movie, it would have at least looked good.

This a downright the ugliest blockbuster I have ever seen. The colours and cinematography in the non-cgi scenes looks like it was shot through dirt smeared on the camera. In contrast any CGI scene of the mountain or sky looks crisp and clear.  I have the question the judgement of anyone who considers MI2 as anything
