I just read through all the comments for the same reason.

It’s such a wasted opportunity. The opening music and baseball game makes it seems like it some TGIF sitcom opening. Neverland looks like it belonged on a Broadway stage, the lighting and sets are very set looking for lack of better word. I’ve rarely seen a Spielberg movie with his visual instincts being so off, may…
Has Ayer ever made a good movie? Why does this guy keep getting work?
And not any of those new fangled LED bulbs either, a good old fashioned incandescent bulb.
I think if you want to look at plot inconsistencies, you need only look at Days of Future Past and Apocolypse. Somehow Mystique not shooting Nixon, overrides Magneto trying to destroy the world. Logically making Mystique a hero in Apocalypse just never fit with the development from the previous movie.
You know at the very list you can understand NYC being the epicentre, the population density is crazy there so a virus is going to spread. I bet Desantis wishes that video never existed now of him calling out the media over the expected surge back in May. Unlike other countries the US had no national strategy and…
I think Turtles is an example of movie studios not having a finger on the pulse of the audience. The turtles cartoon and toys were huge , and the teaser poster was awesome, just teasing the look of the turtles. While I enjoyed the movie when it came out, I can’t help but think it could have been an even bigger hit had…
I don’t know if they don’t know how to make a movie like Red October or they don’t want to. In this day and age it seems like a grown up movie that they don’t make much anymore.
1990 was such an interesting year in movies. Coming off of 1989 it seemed like a letdown at the time, but I remember lining up to see Turtles. I remember my mom taking me to see the Hunt for Red October, a movie that seems like it would end up on a streaming service now. I remember going to see Ski Patrol thinking it…
Hell , if I could get some plastic surgery I probably would, but I would want to look like me afterwards. I can’t imagine these people aging gracefully would look worse then the plastic surgery.
I’m not against cosmetic surgery but there has to be surgeons out there who can do minor procedures that look natural. Is it an issue with the surgeon or demands of the patients?
I’m actually curious about the Snyder cut, the theatrical release of Justice League just seems so small. It’s a movie full of boring locations, I would argue that the 1st Avengers movie is probably not epic in scope, but it brought the characters together well and the end battle was dynamic and in an interesting…
No one outside of the US, can comprehend this type of healthcare. Even if you look at purely economically , it’s still a bad policy. Imagine how much stronger the workforce would be if they didn’t have to worry about getting sick and going bankrupt.
Look here is my perspective from Canada. I’m in a province that hasn’t had any new cases in 30 days. Yes we are small ,but it was done but strict lockdowns and clear guildines, as well as contact tracing to limit spread. As well we didn’t start a phased reopening approach until we had the virus under control. If…
I think Metropolis in Superman Returns is such a non entity, aside from a couple of establishing shots, the majority of the movie feels like an empty backlot, just a step above Lois and Clark.
I have fond memories of going to see BTTFII with my family and loving every minute of it, I would probably go as far to say that I enjoy it more then the 1st movie, it’s not better by any means. I remember seeing Last Crusade at a drive in.
I think Gotham looks the best in Batman Begins, it looks like a distinct city. The Dark Knight Rises is the laziest version just look like the cities they were shot in , with very little effort into disguising it. I actually really dislike TDKR because to me it seems like everyone involved was just lazily phoning it…
I think my main issue with Gotham is that while it looks great, it’s obvious that it’s a set. It doesn’t do a very good job of hiding the limited size of the stages very well. We see the same city block in what seems like a dozen times, especially the movie theatre area.
Where are Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock too?
I think this movie is woefully underdeveloped. It suffers from not having the solid structure of Nemo and wastes the potential of the supporting cast at the aquarium. It almost feels like some of those characters beats were cut out.
