From left to right you’ve got Woody Harrelson, co-director Chris Miller, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Alden Ehrenreich, Emila Clarke, co-director Phil Lord, Donald Glover, and, of course, Chewbacca.

It sounds like you’re describing the company I work for. I love working in a diverse environment with all kinds of political/religious beliefs. I’ve worked in the past for companies that were skewed in either direction on the political spectrum and it’s not nearly as edifying as being around a diverse culture in a…
...and it’s also okay to have friends that disagree with you in regards to politics. That’s one reason everyone is so divided: they only surround themselves with ‘like-minded’ individuals. If you don’t surround yourself with people who are different from you politically/culturally/etc then you will never be challenged…
“Some people are happy where they are, or find the pursuit not worthwhile with the current bunch of people.”
Yes, but who’s the expert? Chewie or Vader/Yoda?
Technically Luke didn’t become a Jedi until he faced Vader in Return of the Jedi. You remember after training with Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader said “The Force is strong with you... but you are not a Jedi yet.” Also in RotJ Yoda said his training will be complete when he faces Vader for the last time -…
Like I said, we can disagree and that’s okay. I appreciate the apology but my comment could have been construed as as a mean spirited jab so I’m sorry for my part in that. I try to stay away from insults and condescension because most people on this site are a lot smarter than me. You have made some very good points,…
I think her mission was help them to the point they could go and she could get back home (to Jakku). Her mission didn’t change until she realized they were her family and then she was on board. I’m not saying you’re wrong. I’m just qualifying it a little bit.
It wasn’t her mission until the third act. She even tried to leave Maz Kanata’s castle and run off. Until then she was basically escorting them.
I was just giving you a hard time. We can disagree. I was being facetious in my last comment anyways.
Wow, you’re not very nice. I mean, I’ve heard internet commenters can be mean but, jeez.
“Batman is ome of the lamest characters ever”
My original point was that I disagreed with your claim that she’s a “Mary Sue” and my other points were to counter your points. Sorry you couldn’t keep up.
She may have been one of the protagonists but BB-8 and Finn were the ones on a ‘mission’. She definitely pulls her own weight, but until the last act her goal was to get back to Jakku. She is literally along for the ride just due to circumstances and coincidence. This doesn’t mean that she doesn’t hold her own, but…
I think Finn took issue with them killing civilians and he realized at that moment that the First Order was the bad guy.
When Kylo Ren was hitting his side like that he was using a technique to deflect the pain by focusing pain on another part or by ‘spreading it out’ so the single blaster shot isn’t emanating pain. There are variations of that technique taught to people who are in physically painful or claustrophobic circumstances that…
They said specifically that they didn’t do clones anymore and Fin was taken from his family when he was young (it wasn’t specific how young, but he never remembered his original name so I’m guessing baby to toddler age).
You just described Anakin from the Episode 1 and Luke from Episode 4 (minus Han who was a bit condescending towards Luke at first). Rey was basically along for the ride and just useful to the other protagonists until the third act when she realizes she can use the Force - which kind of explains why she’s so adept at a…
All he needs to do is say he’s pro-live and he’ll have their vote.
I enjoyed Deadpool because it was irreverent and self-aware with a frenetic pace that never slowed down. It also has some really great action scenes. Honestly the swearing was the least interesting part. I’m in my mid 30's.
