Emilio Estevez is the only other “computer guy” I can think of in the franchise too lol.

If you ask activist and author Charlene Carruthers whom she hopes will read her new book, she’ll mention teenagers…
“movie is about a bumch of goofy guys seeking the holy grail, but it’s really low budget and they can’t even afford horses”
You can argue whether he was a creep or not, but it was absolutely not sexual abuse in the 3rd degree. Either you didn’t read the original article (don’t, it’s so fucking terrible) or the New York statute you’re quoting.
Aziz Ansari doesn’t deserve the level of vitriol directed at Louis CK et al. CK masturbated to his subordinates then blackballed them with his influence. Aziz Ansari thought he was getting a groupie one night stand, she thought it was a date. Neither of them clarified their expectations for the night. He was an…
Write what you know?
It used to be the case where an artist would go on tour to sell records,. Nowadays it’s the exact opposite. An artist’s primary means to success is swag. Their artistic output is sadly irrelevant
IN FACT! I have little doubt all these men on “redemption tours” will actually have a built in audience of people happy to support them to “make SJW heads explode, kek.” There’s a segment that will see their actions as a selling point.
Next month, Tumblr will start cracking down on “non-consensual sexual images,” including deepfakes and creepshots,…
I agree, it should be up to those women. But what if some of these guys did talk to those women and make amends that satisfied those women.
Why don’t we ask the hundreds of women who were terrorized, humiliated, and lost years of career momentum and earning power? Whose relationships fell apart? Who never saw their harassers, and in some cases rapists, even have to directly apologize, let alone go to court?
No one is serving a life sentence. Bad things happen to good people. It’s not their fault, but at a certain point it does become their problem. It is one thing to have been victimized, it is another entirely to nullify your entire life by becoming the forever victim.
This just shows how cancerous and male-identified female socialization is.
Don’t feel like a fool for believing in someone. That’s a good trait to have. If you were wrong, and a lot of us were, oh well. Pick up and carry on being a little wiser. You were disappointed because they were a disappointment, not because you didn’t immediately assume the worst about a person.
He broke my heart, too. He was obviously a complicated person and discussed his messed up thoughts and hypocritical feelings so openly. I really related to him and I’m a woman. I really didn’t want to believe the rumors and I feel like such a fool.
This is really the best argument against him. In general I believe the free market should determine who succeeds and fails, but if his chance at success comes at the expense of a woman’s safety or comfort then he shouldn’t be given the opportunity. Honestly he probably should be given the chance to create his own…
It’s nice of you to assume that the “stabbing” actually took place before the shooting.
Or he posed as a John to get her in a position she couldn’t run away, then tried to arrest her. At which point she lashed out because this rando John just tried to assault her.
I mean, imagine it from her point of view. Standard deal, she gets in the back of the car, he gets in too and suddenly he’s trying to pin you…
Definitely escalated, although I assume it was because he tried to get her out of the car or restrain her with cuffs. If he’s acting undercover then any action he took to restrain her would have been potentially sudden and she already had plenty of reasons to be jumpy.
My gut-reaction, supported by nothing other than my own experiences and flavored by my cynical nature, says that the UC was trying to intimidate and/or get himself a freebie. Things escalated, she lashed out (being stuck in a vehicle with no control over the locks would create a primal “backed into a corner” response,…
