They were called rap sheets way before they reverse-engineered the acronym. People referred to punishment as having one’s “knuckles rapped” even before the American Revolution, so beating “the rap” was getting away with a crime. And if you didn’t beat the rap, it went on your record, which logically was called a “rap

Of course there will not be any more ‘2021 Durango Hellcats’ These are 2023 Durango Hellcats

What does ‘single model year run’ mean? They’re not selling *more* 2021's. Now they’re selling 2023s...

“The 2021 Durango Hellcat” was THAT model-year run. The “2023 Durango Hellcat” is a different model-year run.

These have always had a very specific type of buyer. There are plenty of fast SUVs out there. Many are nicer than the Dodge, and usually for not that much more money (a reminder that these are $90k new MSRP). It takes a special type of person to say no to all the other options and pick one of these instead.

Right? I feel like I’m missing something, but maybe it actually is just spoiled ass rich people.

I rarely side with automakers or dealers, but damn these owners suck and just need to deal with it. This is literally how every consumer product works. Unless there was a contract or documentation stating these would never be made again... too fucking bad? This is what you get for overpaying for stupid vehicles.

This article turned me on to five vehicles I’ve never heard of before, and man are they gorgeous. Thank you.

I wonder if they’ll stamp the case with a serial number that matches the original one in the vehicle.  That would be exactly what “numbers matching” driven restoration folks would really, really want to see.

There is no point in human history in which you’ve been able to obtain a well-sorted NA Miata for $2800 lmao.

Wanna share with the class how you managed to go back and be living in the before times? I’m sure others would like to join you...

I haven’t seen a well sorted NA Miata that cheap in a very long time.

I can’t believe all the car snobs I’m seeing here. “It has an automatic. And cheap tires. And a subwoofer. It’s not worth spending my money on it.” It may not be perfect, but it’s a vintage beamer, it runs, and it’s cheap by modern standards. NP.

Buy it for $4k and sell it to the guy above for $8k. Profit!

“Please no angry-guys or loserish comments from broke-ass crybaby tire kickers who think they can somehow beat the market with bizarre stories from the distant past or the painful present”

Reliable communications in an emergency?” Do those FEMA guys actually listen to AM radio? We just had a 3 year national emergency that killed over 1 million Americans and all I recall hearing on that great FEMA-funded AM radio was that the whole emergency was a hoax.

It is an 18 year old car.

So why exactly is an 18 year-old car with over 100k miles commanding $8500? There’s nothing at all special about this car.

And the dealer wants $28,950 for it. If you take into account the Cobalt SS Turbo’s original MSRP of $24,095, this dealer thinks this thing appreciated nearly $5,000 in value in almost 15 years.

FWIW, that 2009 money is worth about $34k today. So I wouldn’t say the car’s price has appreciated. Truly I, of course, don’t appreciate it at all.
