They weren't sold, just all their content got moved into Stitcher because Howl as a brand is nowhere as big as Stitcher is and they're both owned by the same outfit anyway.

It was subsumed into Stitcher Premium because folk actually use Stitcher whereas Howl was starting from cold and wasn't doing well so Stitcher Premium took most of Howl's content.

It's almost dead, they really don't want anyone using it and would rather they use stitcher as it's way easier to get the metrics that way.
