Something something "gold"!

It is a concern but it gets clicks and has the justification of "politics is pop culture right now" which feels like bullshit. They're seemingly using our outrage to power the site which isn't a good thing at all, shows a lack of knowledge in what makes us tick and that's Community notifications, wordplay, recurring

I've gone on to a stellar career, I'll return in a decade to host.

I'm no longer participating, it was a simple sharing of greetings and now it's greene making puns and everyone getting in on the action and it's too much. we've become the sketch which should have died a while ago but we're still running into the ground.

Which one? I think they're both pretty reprehensible.

It's not even canonicity which is the issue, just that you can mark it as an event but it's still structurally part of season eight. It's weird to mark them out as specials when they're still episodic and will have ramifications.

Hope they keep this momentum up, not like they could spin their wheels forever after all.

Season eight has really reinvigorated my interest in Adventure Time, it's done so much that I actually look forward to it a little now.

They've been doing the current season upto Islands then just kinda farting out this quick overview of eight episodes. Might get more in-depth episodic reviews at a later date.

I did not but I can see the angle you might look at it from and get that, hard not to with a virtual universe similar to whatever we thought Second Life would be.

I'd still like to know what happened with Martin between his days on the island and when we first meet him. Yeah, he's a rampaging douchecanoe but I'd like to know why he became so hardened towards his own son.

It's a mini-series but only in the most technical of senses, it's still very much part of season 8 and no, I wish we were getting full reviews of each episode because there's so much to dig into there. Islands at its core is about Finn's search for meaning as a human and how Dr. Gross tied into all that, a journey for

Yeah, for some reason they're not getting individual reviews though they're still a part of the season as a whole.

Classic Sava, at least he didn't go down into a rathole unrelated to the main story.

Me personally? Um, made fun of Fast Eddie once. Nothing against the rules, just bruised someone's ego.

AllTheTropes is where you go when TVTropes bans you.

Feel like that's been US foreign policy since Reagan.

Sure, you can be disappointed but it's not supposed to be a satirical comedy show so a little realignment of expectations should be a reasonable request. Anyway, Colbert wanted something different so that's what he's delivering, can't do much about it.

Because of course he does, he makes The Modal Nodes what they are!

It's a vastly different audience it's catering to, remember that the last person to occupy that space was David Letterman. It's reasonable to expect far less edgy satire now their audience also includes old folks who didn't change the channel, this isn't Comedy Central anymore.
