I wasn’t into the look of the show, from the trailers, but watching it, it feels a lot like the prequels, in terms of look... only a little better, given tech is better now.

Take your star (while we can still give them out).

I hadn’t considered that, which is interesting. I was thinking he is the master.

Darth Vader and Kylo Ren committed genocide on levels Earth has never experienced. We let our kids dress up as them for Halloween. The droid thing isn’t too high on the list of things in SW that bothers me.

So. There’s way more to Manny Jacinto’s character than they’re letting on, isn’t there?

BTW. I was relieved that they cast him as something other than a Jedi. He showed his chops in The Good Place, was incredibly serious in Nine Perfect Stranger, and now he’s a giant question mark. I’m convinced, between the three very

I think this could go either way. I think Alvarez is competent (certainly more than I would be behind a camera), but nothing special. That being said, plenty of competent directors have completely nailed a film or two in their filmographies.
I dig the tone in the first trailer. I realize the long trailer is going to

The second one is a decent watch for the same reasons. Woody Harrelson and Carnage are wasted though.

I haven’t enjoyed these movies as movies, but I have enjoyed Tom Hardy’s performance in them quite a bit. I’ll definitely see it, but it’s too bad the films aren’t better.

I like Godzilla but I wouldn’t call myself a major Godzilla fan.

I ADORE this movie! It’s far and away my favorite film of 2023.

I’m in the minority of people whose favorite season was season 3 (I’m a sucker for art deco and antique hotels as a major set piece).

Are you serious?

I’m keeping a wide open mind. I’m going to pretend that this has no connections to source material nor films / TV. I’m going to judge it purely on its own merits as a film.
That being said, judged on its own merits, the trailer looked bland and I’m just not getting a great vibe based on the snippets of interviews I’ve

If you haven’t watch Scavenger’s Reign... watch it.

On a related note, if you haven’t watched Fired on Mars, watch it. SR is getting a lot of buzz from the niche crowd, but FoM isn’t getting any buzz from anyone and it’s wonderful!

I want a Mad Max themed Mario Kart style game so bad!

I think I’ve accidentally read this spoiler, but I’m not going to go out of my way to confirm.

I was born in 1980 and grew up with Star Wars. I don’t know when I found out about *SpOiLeR aLeRt* Vader being Luke’s father but I can tell you that it didn’t stop me from watching the trilogy more times than I can count, so

Looks good. Not amazing. Maybe just because I’m keeping my expectations in check.

Huh. I thought The Boys S5 was confirmed with S4 a long time ago.

Nightbitch sounds like a movie that I’ll see in the theater and not use Fandango, just so I can say, “One ticket for Nightbitch, please.”

I wish Edgar Wright wasn’t doing another established IP. Like Tarantino and Peele, I just want his filmography to be

My wife and I watched it every week and generally enjoyed it. She doesn’t even like that kind of show, usually. The show is beautiful, even if someone is (unlike me) hating the story / character choices.

I don’t dislike Snyder’s version of DC. I wouldn’t mind seeing where he was gonna go with it.

I’m much more excited for Gunn’s version of DC, though, and this still makes me even more stoked.

I was 19 in ‘99. My friends and I LOVED The Phantom Menace. For that reason, I was always surprised to see the hate it received, online. It was a fairy tale, the way Star Wars is supposed to be. I think enough sci-fi nerds felt that The Matrix meant that all sci-fi stuff was supposed to feel grown up.
