I can’t explain why I enjoyed Tusk. Maybe it was the voiceover, while the credits rolled and I couldn’t believe that they successfully made a weird stoner joke into a horror movie, but I really like Tusk.
Other than that, I pretty much only like Clerks, Mallrats, and the first half of Clerks II.

I feel like The Great North imitates Bob’s Burgers to an extent though it doesn’t seem to try to be near as whacky.
I don’t think Central Park is imitating Bob’s Burgers much, if at all. It is definitely a musical and it succeeds in this aspect. The characters’ idiosyncrasies are far more realistic. I’m not a big fan

I was too young in the ‘90s (and my parents didn’t shell out for cable), so I never got around to this show. I think the slide show has convinced me to finally give it a go.

I don’t know why but when narrator-Nathan reveals that the skeet guns are loaded with blanks, I laughed until I cried.

Thanks! My kids tell me I’d like that show.

I don’t know if this is a joke that I’m missing, but if not...
How does that song get less and less cool, the more rumored names come out?

Exactly! Sparrow was fun for 3 movies but was a joke for the next 2. This is a franchise that has had maybe 2.5 good movies out of 5 but it has a lot of potential if they can movie passed Jack Sparrow.

For those like me, who miss the 7-layer burrito, Taco Bell has something called The Fiesta Veggie Burrito on the value menu. It’s vegetarian, cheaper and bigger than the 7-layer, and really quite delicious.
Just an FYI because I’d never seen it advertised and actually came across it by accidentally hitting the wrong

As someone who has been to parties in my late teens / early 20's, I agree. Little physical fights, usually between guys who end up being great friends within a week or two.

Exactly. Of all of the deals in my life, not being a member of the Academy isn’t even a middle deal, much less a big deal.

While this is correct, it didn’t need to be a video.

I fucking love a film that simultaneously makes me sick to my stomach, while laughing and cheering at the climax. Fresh did this.

Don’t divorces only take 6 months? What’s holding this up?

I was raised in a fundamental Christian environment. Even then, when I believed what I was told, I thought, “Ok. So this stuff is wrong. But why do we care so much?
Now, obviously, I know that that stuff isn’t wrong, and for the life of me, I still can’t figure out why people care so much! Sure, JK believes that

UGH! Shameless plugs that ACTUALLY work in context. I’m impressed.

My starter word is, Beaut, and it really works for me. Sometimes, I use Cutie.

I wish the good writers, from every blog, would move to Defector. It would be incentive enough for me to pay for it.

I’m on episode 2. I’m digging the clean grid-like camera shots (i.e. Peele or Fincher’s Hitchcock influence) juxtaposed against the dirty found footage story. I like that everything in 1994 is so stylistically different from a camera standpoint from the present day.

I knew I was going to love the show when the trailer released a few months before the premier. I subbed to Showtime when Dexter premiered and decided to save Yellowjackets to binge when it was over. I made the mistake of thinking Yellowjackets and Dexter were going to end on the same week.

I binged the show between

I’ve avoided poppy seed muffins and bagels ever since that Seinfeld episode when Elaine gets a false positive drug test. I haven’t even seen it in probably 25 years but it left an impact on me.

I think they just get, “blipped.”
