That's because the original picture doesn't have a bite taken out of it. Gizmodo did that.

I was on a plane a few weeks ago where the no smoking sign was replaced with a sign that said "No electronic devices." It lit up when the cabin door shut, and then it went off when they announced that laptops and such could be turned on.

Launchpad was an addition to OS X. If are adding things, how is that "dumbing down"?

My father has something similar to this. He can't understand speech once the total noise gets to a certain volume. They helped him out by giving him hearing aids that strain out background noise. I'd suggest going to get your hearing checked—it did wonders for my dad.

Yes he was. He played Andrew Davis in one episode way towards the end. (Episode 199 of 201) But I knew who he was long before I ever saw the "Get a Mac" commercials. I don't think he's any more of a celebrity than Zooey is.

Nope. They used Justin Long and John Hodgman for the "I'm a Mac" commercials.

Actually, if your app gets denied, Apple even suggests that you could build a webapp instead.

The name isn't "new iPad." That's just what they're calling it, because it is the new iPad. Just like with the iPods. They don't call it the iPod 7 (or whatever it is.) It's just "iPod"

You can't see the difference from home if your computer monitor is only 100ppi.

All of Reddit's boards are user-created and user-moderated. Reddit's head people didn't want to ban anything because they didn't want to walk the tightrope between necessary censorship and limiting free speech. However, they've since changed their rules to forbid these kinds of boards.

I was just thinking about that... the Note would be awful for jogging!

I get seriously confused with this kind of attitude about cell phones. If Apple had released no cell phone, then everyone would be upset that Apple was selling a two-year old phone. Apple releases a cell phone with improved specs across the board, and people are upset that Apple is pushing insignificant

I know you're being facetious... but you know that it's not only a 5% processor bump... the graphic performance in the A5 was more than 5% more powerful than the A4. Right?

They filed a patent. It's not like they're actually implementing this. In fact, they're making it so that other companies can't implement this.

iMessage sends a delivered confirmation right away. If you chose, you can also have it send a read receipt. But that's turned off by default.

The Siri that was available before and the new Siri are two completely different programs. I used the Siri app when it was available, and it didn't have access to calendars, text messages, email, reminders or notes. The integration with iOS is really what makes Siri useful, and I had none of it with the Siri app.

Actually, I wouldn't doubt that we're getting ripped off in the states. Tuition is so much higher here, so I think they'd want to take advantage of us while we're already taking out 5-digit loans every year.

The E.O. Wilson is still free. But the other ones have been $14.99 this whole time. If you want a taste, Apple has a button to download a sample of the book for you to play around with.

People are saying that 9" is too big. People are saying they want a 7" iPad. And besides, iBooks Author basically does all the reformatting for you. You just drag and drop the text in, and it takes care of that.

I don't know where you'd buy your books... in one semester alone, I spent almost $500 in text books! And I was frugal with it! The government's school expense break-down says the average yearly cost for books at over $1,200. I could buy 2 iPads with that!
