I don’t care what anyone is saying, I’m losing my entire mind over them re-releasing TWEWY on Switch with new story content.

Merely speculative but given that this replica is being produced by Cerevo, the people who also made the absolutely insane transforming Dominator replica from Psycho-Pass:

Have to agree with basically this whole list.

Honestly, everything you’ve said here is legit the truth. I’ve bought a handful of game OSTs in the past (and plan to purchase another on this list - FFXIV: Stormblood - when it comes out later this year)

First off - the scene REALLY should be taken in context within the narrative of Catherine. Vincent is in a *committed relationship* with Katherine. Some woman is standing in front of him with clearly no pants on, exposing herself to him in his apartment - that is naturally going to trigger a shocked and terrified

Yes, but Arcade games cost 25 or 50 CENTS per playthrough - this would be a game that would require a probably $20+ investment.

One thing you have to consider: Final Fantasy XIV’s playerbase is by-and-large a lot older than the playerbase of games like WoW or even FFXI back in the day. Many of us just don’t have *time* to devote to raiding hardcore like we did when we were younger. And for a lot of us, even when we do have time, marathon

Honestly, I stepped away from hardcore raiding in FFXIV back in Patch 2.3 after our group had been farming Second Coil for long enough to have all our High Allagan gear. It was just too much to keep dealing with, and I can’t even imagine what it was like for groups during Gordias.

I mean its totally understandable that they’re rolling with the punches RE: id software’s original difficulties for the game but those were also from a time where gaming had a much different image and viewpoint and also from a time where we hadn’t advanced our thought processes on player identity and representation

Shockingly, someone doesn’t have to like all the games in a franchise to try out and review one later. I *loved* the original Xenoblade Chronicles and I found Chronicles X to be rather unimpressive but not terrible and so far X 2 has been a dumpster fire in terms of just...bad design decisions thrown in haphazardly

Tabata said it will be part of a free update to the game prior to the release of Episode Ignis.

Chrono Trigger was a defining moment in my adolescence - it was the first RPG I put my hands on and played. And for some people, perhaps that’s a rather unfair bar to set as a first time genre experience - one of the greatest games the medium has ever offered.

This article isn’t going to bring many new players to FFXIV - articles covering news and information regarding features in the game and actually covering the overall vibrancy of the roleplaying community will do that.

It isn’t just this article - it was her previous one about the /doze emote as well (which seriously misrepresented the comments of the two people who were interviewed in it.) She seemed to be more legitimate in this one but there’s still the whole “Why would anyone do this” question she apparently asked herself, which

I have no issue with your operation, honestly. I have friends that ERP in FFXIV - I think it can be a wonderful for certain folks. ERP doesn’t bother me - what bothers me is Cecilia’s focus on it with two articles about it this past week, and especially with snide minor comments about finding it weird or gross or

Man, after all the backlash from the previous article from the FFXIV community and here you are again with another article about ERP in the game that seems to misrepresent the roleplay section of the game, which is actually far more expansive and broad than your honestly creepy obsession with seeking out ERPers.

She honestly has - its part of what led me to start supporting her on Patreon, really. Her latest series of videos have been pretty damn excellent.

It’s honestly my fault for not realizing such a blatantly biased article would just be filled with cherrypicked interview quotes. I should have known that really would have been the case, but I was honestly so irritated and thrown off that Cecilia’s coverage of FFXIV consistently seems to be judgmental hit pieces

I literally love how Kotaku never actually seems to cover important information about FFXIV - like interviews with Naoki Yoshida where he discusses upcoming changes or additions to the game, such as their plan to fix housing, the changes being made to the Glamour system, the release of a mobile app that will allow
