Blaming GameStop for the fact that they didn't get enough copies is ridiculous. They have almost no control over how many copies they're going to receive. Preorders are helpful because it ensures they'll get more, but still. This is still an issue with Namco Bandai, not with GameStop.
The game is almost 20 years old. Spoiler limitations have run their course.

Yeah, Chrono Cross is absolutely worth it. It definitely isn't as good as Chrono Trigger (very few RPGs honestly are though,) but it has some amazing characters, a spectacular world, a great soundtrack, and an awesome plotline (full of Chrono Trigger references too.)

The original version of TWEWY allowed for this too though. You could go to Mr. H's store (IIRC) once you beat the main story and use up your extra yen to purchase the various tracks from the game.
