I love Ting. They’re getting better with their network coverage and a for-real person answers the phone when you call for help (no automated systems). The bill is way less than anything I was paying for on AT&T (even without a subsidized phone on my bill).

I live in the middle of nowhere PA and am extremely happy with

I used to be an extremely honest kid—up until my 6th birthday. I opened a red & white striped sailor outfit and promptly declared I didn’t like it. I received the sternest lecture from my father that I had to show gratitude for presents because someone put a lot of thought into that present and bought it just for me.

The teachers did this to the students at the elementary school I went to. This was way before I found out I had a food intolerance and related sweet foods to stomach illness and vomiting. It took a few times of missing recess and having to sit at the teacher’s table before I learned how to hide the food on my tray so

I’m a big fan of parchment paper for baking (pizza, cookies, chimichangas, grinders) and prefer it to aluminum foil and wax paper. I didn’t know it came in individual sheets, though! I have battled so many times with that roll and curling paper. Having individual sheets would reduce the stress in my baking life so

I’m not sure exactly. You’ll probably want to check with your doctor. Either way, you will probably want to opt for a different scan for your annual cancer screening given the density can prevent accurate screenings with a traditional mammogram.

Also wanted to add for people to PLEASE ask your doctor if you have dense breast tissue. Dense tissue can be up to 6 times more likely to develop cancer AND make it harder for mammograms to detect breast cancer. My sister-in-law’s cancer went undetected for years even with regular mammograms because of her tissue

Sandals if needed. I would think two pair of sneakers/casual shoes would be helpful. Particularly if you use one pair for exercising.

Guy version would probably be something like: 2 suits and ~6 pairs of shoes.

Contemplating giving out full-sized candy bars this year for halloween, but there’s no Costco in my area. Is there a second-best location for purchasing full-sized candy bars?

I was just going to write about Aveeno Lip Balm and how similar it was to Neutrogena Naturals, but it looks like they discontinued the product. In fact, even my searches for it redirected to Neutrogena Naturals. Amazing stuff. Definitely my favorite.

And I agree with you about Blistex. I used it one winter and my lips

This is really making me hanker for an Assassin’s Creed Lego game.

I think I’m at the point now where I just know too much going into making okra to ever eat it if I made it for myself. I might be able to try it if someone made it for me. Maybe.

Boiling it that first time (I was so optimistic!) reminded me of the library scene in Ghostbusters.

I will always choose the boring job (providing income isn’t a factor)., but then I’ve never had a boring job that didn’t permit me some freedom (reading a book, surfing on the internet, or creating new projects for myself to improve the workplace) with which to while away the dull hours.

This is hilarious. Thank you for sharing.

I tried to cook okra once. I chopped it, then boiled it, saw the slime-filled pot, almost vomited, threw it in the trash.

Next attempt (a year later), I chopped it and fried it. I still wasn’t able to eat it because I remembered the slime. My husband found it delicious and wondered why I didn’t make it more often.

I cut them out of my life (if possible). If not possible, like in the case of my father, I try to interact with him as little as possible and keep all conversation light and off the topic of humans, agriculture, wildlife, witchcraft and government. If I care for some of his more entertaining stories/ramblings, I will

Nice! Looks like it has bigger slots, too. My life changed when I found out metal scoops existed.

Bought a metal cat litter scoop at Walmart last time I braved the store. It was $5. I’ve broken so many plastic scoops over the years that I’m sure this is a very sound investment.

I try to make him look like a lion, but I’m not that talented. He usually ends up looking like a mange-y alley cat. He seems happier with shorter hair, though, so I guess that’s what matters. ;)

Lampshade tip is a godsend. Thank you! I haven’t been able to clean my one cloth lampshade and it’s getting pretty mangy. I’ll try the sponge tip out tonight! :D
