Love this. I have hereditary fructose intolerance. I can't handle most sugars, but I do adore dextrose. It explains my inability to stop eating pixy stix and potato chips. I presume this is how cookie monster feels about cookies. My reward system, however, is rigged to respond to the presence of fructose and sucrose

I decided in high school that I didn't want children. I didn't like babies and was repulsed by the whole idea of childbirth (I blame this mostly on a few horror movies centered around evil babies that I saw in my pre-teens). At most, I entertained the idea of adoption.

I would have liked these two outfits much better had they swapped tops.

I love Coach Poppy. It is fantastic.

I went to a matinee showing of Sin City with my husband. The theater was sparsely populated, so even though we sat in the middle back, we could still see clearly the dad with three children (the youngest girl was around 5 years; the oldest boy was around 11 years) sitting near the front. We were shocked that the

I tried to sign up for Pinterest about three years ago. I heard about it on Wired or Reddit and wanted to check it out. I didn't understand it. It confused me. What was the point?

My sister did the exact same thing to me after watching First Blood. She didn't get in trouble and I still have all my fingers and toes.

She might have pressed her lips together sometime between putting the lipstick on and getting the photo taken. That would cause the top lip's shape to mirror the bottom lip's shape.

I have never seen (or heard) this movie. A few months ago I happened to walk into the room while my dad was watching that final scene where Tess tells off Ripley. I was not happy. I saw two women of power and one got the other fired. My dad must have seen the look on my face because he said, "no! She deserved it!"

I would also really like that and I hope it doesn't cost a lot of money.

In WV, we received a flyer on our apartment door warning us of the storm. It said to buy lots of water and fill the tub and sinks with water. The second step is completely useless as the tub and sinks do not have tight fitting seals on the drains and the water would be gone in a matter of hours. We live right beside a

So, they can make a bra that can detect breast cancer, but they STILL can't make a bra that actually fits comfortably‽

I am curious as to how hypoglycemia fits into these stages. Some days I feel like I go right from hour six to hour 72. I definitely don't feel very cognitively sharp when I feel my blood glucose levels slump off.

Three people with oxygen for three weeks... I would like to see the waste-management system.

I am really excited and amazed by this technology. Both my father and uncle have lost the use of their dominant hands (one due to work-related accident, the other due to motorcyle accident). Even though the hands look completely normal, they are mostly dead weight. The thought that they could one day opt to amputate

Too much chalk/dry-erase marker/lead exposure. ;)

I think Morla is a female. So that's a story of horror for a different day.

I didn't realize how much he bad-touched until this animation. I was near tears. Thank you for sharing.

I saw an explanation for this. It basically goes that they initially had young Weyland doing some bit on terraformed Mars (I think) to set up some backstory for the Weyland/expedition. It ended up being too long and they opted to leave out that bit to make the movie shorter.

I skimmed the whole article (because spoilers! and I missed season 1) and didn't see what channel it's on. I see the time and the day, but not the channel.
