@Belabras: WAIT, WHAT? They were two different movies??? I caught the ending of the anime on Chiller and wanted to watch the beginning. I DVRed the show and was presented with live action. I thought they were the same. ;_;

Blood: The Last Vampire had me so confused when I happened to catch the end on the Chiller channel and wanted to see the beginning. I watched about 5-10 minutes completely confused then turned it off. The ending was beautifully illustrated. It's just too bad you have to watch the rest of the movie.
The fact that her hands aren't really rotten/boney is throwing me off (considering the rest of her body).
@Andrizzleton: Your repost was pleasantly appropriate.
@zombiebaby: I'm beginning to wonder if SyFy simply changed their name to prevent further sullying the good name of true, quasi-logical SciFi.
Two glaring issues that will prevent me from managing to turn off my brain and watch this tv-movie:
@PatS: In the alternate universe where Clooney is British, then he'd already have the job?
@monkeybiziu: Guh, so true. I wish this site had a voting system so I could upvote you without commenting. Instead you get my lame "I agree" comment.
@PatS: What do you think of George Clooney as James Bond—aside from him not being English at all? I've been contemplating this for a few days now and nobody wants to entertain my Bond ideas.
Awesome—but only if it's a franchise. My love for this series could not be sated by one awesome movie.
@cyberathena: I think if I had gone with my instinct and had not read this book as my first Miéville—if I had instead read UnLunDun or Perdido Street Station (both of which are sitting on my shelves waiting for me at home), then I would have thoroughly enjoyed it.
@cyberathena: The last 50-100 pages were interesting. I definitely think this would make an awesome movie, but overall I found the book to be a bit too contrived and self-indulgent for my tastes.
@8x10: A Spintaur with bad BO?
@cyberathena: This is an EXCELLENT idea. I'll try divvying it up tonight. I am barely managing to make it through a chapter, so perhaps longer goals are in order.
@ProfessorSara: @transitnap: Thanks for the words of encouragement. I noticed I was actually somewhat interested last night, so I have hope again. :)
@HongKongCavalier: The Lokis are AWESOME. :D
Awwwh, Blue Beetle (#44) always pulls my heart strings.
@See you suckers later: You had me at Katana Contest. Please let me know when you find/create such fabulousness. My zombie arsenal is surprisingly lacking in the free-katana-from-website-contest section.
I gave it my best. If no one else found me amusing, at least I entertained myself...
@ProfessorSara: All of which are very fine and entertaining ideas that would clearly improve any movie experience. ^_^
