Look at the first year of X1 and PS4, consoles that were expected to be great success. The first year is always slow, but the Switch is actually doing quite well.

I’ve never had a problem with my Switch overheating. These people are either living in the Sahara desert or are just paranoid. My laptop playing Minecraft is like 10 times hotter than my Switch playing Zelda.

This isn’t something you need to do. Someone claimed their switch was overheating and everyone overreacted.
People are blowing this out of proportion (kotaku as well by feeding in to this). It doesn’t get that hot in handheld or docked mode to require this.

Why would you have that reaction to some bullshit meme on the internet? They don’t even say they’re having any trouble. They’re just doing stupid shit.
It’s likely due to summer heat there are people having trouble. I’ve had 2 Switches at my house for extended periods in handheld and docked and I’ve not had a problem. They get pretty hot in docked mode sure, but I’ve never seen one over heat, a screen protector come away from the unit or anything like that.
None of these are necessary in any way, these people are just colossal morons.

It was a prediction in line with the Wii U sales numbers – and remember that the Wii U was released during the holiday season, not March.
Neither. This is pretty ordinary a few months into release when demand is higher than expected at release, it takes weeks (at minimum) to raise production, and they’re likely already retaining some stock for the fall season.
