That’s something that most car (and motorcycle—HI!) owners don’t consider: are their modifications/added performance parts covered by *their own* insurance policy? It’s a lot more common (practically typical) for motorcycle owners to do this but a lot of policies don’t cover these things at all or charge extra for

Really nice sentiment

What you said about your family’s oldest car representing the best parts of the family really registers with me. My family is in harder times right now, and it looks like I’ll probably be giving the 1997 4Runner that I’m currently driving back to my dad this summer because he’s had to sell his car. The 4Runner was

This is jalopnik. Beautiful

I just teared a little.

Don’t you have “agreed value” car insurance in the states. I’m sure we have it in Australia.  It’s great for custom cars and all those odd cars we pump too much money into.

You mean this interior:

It’s Friday. Treat yourself to some real American luxury.

An LS3 crate motor swap would make a big difference...

Your car has plenty of power in real world driving.

Cyclists are a massive problem for non-autonomous cars. Cyclists are a problem, period. Mainly because cyclists seem to get some perverse thrill from making themselves problems, victims, and martyrs. I’d be happy to see them legislated off the road and to keep their hobby to cycle parks.
