They offer the 6 1/2-ft. bed, but not the short 5 1/2-ft. bed on the single cabs. I was thinking more of the stubby bed they use on the Raptors.

Personally, I think if they offered a single-cab, short-bed with the 5.0 it’d make a pretty fun truck, and not a bad Lightning successor.
You’re absolutely right, and I agree with you 100 percent.
This is nothing new. Trucks don’t typically have high-performance engines. The goal for a truck engine is to be torquey, long-lasting, and as efficient as possible considering its working requirements.
I think you really hit on something there about romanticization.
Wait, why does my car need to be connected to the Internet in the first place?
I saw this on Hemmings a little while back, and yeah, much want. I don’t know why I find the very early era of motorcycling so interesting, considering I’m not really into motorcycles, but something about these early bikes is irresistible.
I’m not sure driving cars with the dash constantly in Vegas mode really makes one any kind of hero.
It’s not so much a matter of nationalism to me, but I prefer my cars to be made in the countries associated with their badges. Like, I prefer my Hondas and Toyotas be made in Japan. If I were buying a VW, I’d want one made in Germany. If it’s an American brand, well, you get the picture.

Gas is a drink. Oil is either a sauce or a marinade.
Sounds good in theory, but I’ll bet these airlines will ruin it by putting passengers way wider than 21" in those seats. I wonder how much usable space they’re really getting with this setup, considering the width between the aisle and window seats hasn’t changed.
Good. At least they won’t be able to build a MkVI “Supra” out of one.
They don’t have no choice at all. They could chose to leave the cars quiet and let them sound how they sound without the fake stuff.
It strikes me as odd that electrification and the end of internal combustion present such challenges to the automotive industry, because it seems to me that electric powertrains are vastly simpler than internal combustion engines. I’m sure I’m missing something somewhere (maybe the challenges are in charging times and…
