Yeah, there’s a vast difference between systems like ABS or TC, and systems that take over the vehicle’s steering and braking for the driver.

If this is a simulation, I need to find the cheat codes. 

I don’t mind being the slowest driver on the road when I’m in something large and visible. In a Miata, I find speed to be an advantage. You don’t want to spend too much time near any other cars on the road in something other drivers simply don’t bother to see, and you definitely don’t want other drivers coming up…

I’m familiar with old, diesel Benzes, and they accelerate like old people fuck. 

I’ve seen used sandwiches with more value left in them.

The thing is, I really don’t want a car that “assists” me in driving. I want the thing to either drive itself completely, while I kick back and read the paper and drink a scotch, or I want to be in complete control myself.

Ah. I don’t really see it as an issue of technology. I don’t think a knob is any more advanced than a lever, and both merely operate an electronic switch that sends a signal to the transmission. I don’t think anybody is using cables anymore, regardless of shifter arrangement.

Bare minimum, sure. But I’d say that drug testing kids and punishing them for off-campus behavior goes pretty far beyond bare minimum.

I dunno, if men are using technology and “disruption” to find ways to meet their needs without imposing on women and expecting them to do it, I’d consider that a positive development.

Maybe. Being independent franchises, I kinda figured the shop truck was up to the dealership owner, but that’s just an assumption on my part.
