I only restricted my opinion to public schools because that was my experience. I can’t speak to the experience of private schools, because I was not there. It would not surprise me at all to learn that they suck just as bad.

You’re not wrong about the harmful effects. And I’ve since given up my bad habits. Yes, that stuff is destructive.

Not really. I knew some kids at a local private school that was not like this. I’m sure it sucked in its own way, but they didn’t have a very restrictive dress code, at least.

The school has an interest in preventing illegal activity on their grounds or durning school-sponsored events. But anything outside of those is none of their business, and they should not have any power over that.

I agree with this. It also nicely sums up how I feel about Beto.

I can’t imagine spending basically six figures on an unreliable “performance” car with struts on all four corners. No thanks.

Just curious, but why do you prefer the rotary shifter over a conventional column shifter?

I’d have had a tough time deciding between the last-gen Silverado and an F-150. Generally, I tend to prefer Ford and Mopar products to GM, but there are some things GM does well too, and that 5.3 V8 is one of them. Plus, the last Silvy had about the cleanest lines of any modern pickup. Then again, I really like the

I assumed as much. Still not broken-hearted.

I could buy a ‘Vette and feed it Dorals and Velveeta.

It probably would sell for less than that here, even after taxes.

It probably takes premium cigs and cheese, too.

Seventy-five grand?

So, how much does one of those extended warranties cost again? Like five, six grand?

This looks awesome, and I want to see it.

Not having seen the show, but being witness to all kinds of real evil on the roads, I’d make different selections.

Meh. I’m so disappointed in the MkV that I can’t wait to hear whether the MkVI will redeem the name. I can’t wait to forget that the MkV ever happened. I say, bring on the speculation about the MkVI!

When I was growing up, “luxury car” meant one of two things: It was a car that was expensive either because it was of very high quality (Mercedes), or because it had a lot of content (Cadillac).

I like donks. Probably because so many others hate them. Strong reactions like that can be amusing.
