Yeah, I was assuming info I read in a NP/CP story’s comments were true. Turns out, they were not. My bad.

Looks like I was operating on some bad info there. 991.1 Cabrios sell for a lot more than that. Still, there are options in that price range.
Agreed. I recently learned that 991.1 Cabrios typically sell for less than $20k. Like, quite a lot less. I do not want a 991.1 Cabrio, but seriously, if you want to impress people who are impressed with those sort of things, it’d be a pretty efficient way to do it.
For those who aren’t comfortable with/effectively capable of violence, they can force him to eat one NYC subway cockroach instead.
While this NSX would have been beyond cool, what really breaks my heart is that they didn’t just scale down the ambition of the thing and give us a road-going version of the HSV010 GT, with the V8 RWD setup.
Looks like Batman’s racecar.
Yeah, mine is 4 miles, so driving a 30-year-old Miata on stiff suspension and poly bushings, with no AC or power steering, is actually pretty tolerable. If I had to commute to LA, it wouldn’t be.
A 2011 Accord would be a serious upgrade for me in terms of daily driving luxury and reliability. I’m looking at getting a second car to use as my primary transportation, and I’m mostly focusing on 2010-2013 Accords and Camrys with around 100k on the clock.
A 2011 Accord should have plenty of useful life in it. While the advice here is sound for those who really need to finance a car despite credit challenges, even thinking of “upgrading” in this situation is an indication of how people fuck up their credit in the first place. Drive the Accord for two more years and pay…
Not really. I hate seeing Honda lose. But the last couple of years have been pretty all-right.
Good. I enjoy watching them lose.
In my view, many of those people claiming to want respect are really seeking deference.
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Trump is certainly no mastermind, and crediting him with genius is absurd. I’ve eaten meals that were smarter than him.
I’ve always thought of the TT as sort of the spiritual successor to the Karmann Ghia. It was a nicely styled, sporty-looking coupe based on a pedestrian VW chassis (Golf instead of Beetle) that offered underwhelming performance.
A good, clean DC2 GS-R goes for more these days. These aren’t as good as a GS-R, but they’re also a lot more rare. Especially in this good of condition. Nice Price.
I was tall, but skinny. By my senior year, I was 6'1" ... and 135 lbs.
This actually explains a lot more than most of the other arguments about why the perception of reliability for these cars is so different in the two countries.
The W123 300D turbo I drove for a year would fall into the category of durable, but not particularly reliable.
It’s not just the parents.
The thing is, these were old-man cars when they were new. Now I rarely see them on the road, but when I do, they’re often driven by a younger crowd. The Tommy Bahama crowd have C6s and C7s by now.
