I generally disagree with the idea of lists like these about anything, cars, music, whatever. I think the idea that if you consider yourself an enthusiast you must like these things is flawed. I’m perfectly fine with different people liking different stuff, and I don’t think there always has to be an overlap.

Must’ve mixed it up with the DB11. I don’t think this Vantage looks good, though. I do think the last one does.

Uh, I’m the one who started this thread, the entire point of which was to say that this thing is an ugly POS.

I’d probably complain about the lack of a manual gearbox first.

Toyota is definitely to blame for outsourcing to incompetent Germans instead of building their own car.

I’d be interested in knowing the CP:NP ratio broken down by country of origin. My suspicion is that the European cars will have a higher CP:NP ratio.

It didn’t just get hit with the ugly stick. It is the ugly stick.

So what? I’d rather have a Toyota-engineered Supra with a V6 than a BMW “engineered” anything.

I’d vastly prefer the Supra end with the last MkIV than have BMW build the MkV.

I dunno, I think the GS would be the 5 Series. The IS is probably a more natural 3 Series.

Well, I agree with you that the Z4 is ugly. I’m not a fan of the current Civic SRT-4, though.

I’ll never accept it as such. How many Bimmer fans would accept an ES350 with a roundel on the snout as the next 3 Series? This is basically the same thing.

Well, style is subjective. Not everybody should like all the same things.

All the major mechanical components and the chassis are BMW. Toyota did some tuning and styling, not much else.

That’s because it is, indeed, a bad thing.

I’ve been calling it “Poopra.”

I’ve been calling it the Poopra.

Yeah, actually. That floating roof is hideous.

It’s a garbage German car.

I’d rather walk.
