I prefer the headlight switch on the turn signal stalk, probably because I’ve been driving Japanese cars since 1996. Before that, my Mopars and my Karmann Ghia had the dashboard knob that you pull, and my W123 had the twist dial on the dash. None of them are a big enough deal to ruin a car for me, but the stalk

Great-looking cars. That’s about the only good thing I can say about them.

This doesn’t even sound like a rebranding. This sounds like exactly the same kind of douchey pretentious shit Automobile has always done.

I hope the Mercedes engines they buy blow up even more frequently than the Honda engines. And I hope Alonso never gets a decent car on any team.

I wonder if these are going to be stolen/vandalized like the old performance Hondas were. I imagine a lot of shithead kids are going to want those seats and Type-R powertrain swaps in their Civics.

Should’ve stayed naturally aspirated, homies.

It’s the proportions. They’re not graceful. The 5GT appears thicker throughout its profile. There is more space between the top of the rear wheel arch and the beltline, and the deck height appears taller. The overall effect makes the 5GT look more like a crossover than a sedan with a hatchback.

From what I remember, those Prelude seats were very good. I liked them a little more than the seats in my Integra at the time.

It’s the Gilette strategy: Give away the razors, and they’ll buy blades for life. Or in this case, more XJ parts.

I know there are wildfires in Malibu sometimes, but this is some next-level shit.

Unfortunately the contingent that believes women should be draped over cars (clad in a bikini) instead of, y’know, actually driving them, is still pretty strong in “car culture.”

The Camry and IS engines were very closely related, but I think the upcoming Camry motor is a new variation that leans closer to the IS motor, feature-wise.

The Accord always made sense to me as a 4-cylinder car. I love the V6s for the obvious reasons, but the four was worthy of admiration for simply doing its job very well without dominating the driving experience. It was like a guitarist who knew not to overplay for the song with a bunch of flashy solos, or a chef who

I drove a rented Kia Soul for a week last year while my car was in a body shop. I think it was a base model, but maybe it had the bigger NA four. Definitely wasn’t a turbo.

This sucks gigantic, dirty ass. And as sad as I am about the loss of the V6, I’m even more upset by the loss of the NA 4-cylinder.

I wonder what 550 Maranellos are going for these days.

This era of Mercs doesn’t really loosen up with age. My W123 felt like a bank vault at 230,000 miles.

I was trolling at first, but thinking about it, yeah, I’d totally rather see Boston than New York. There are quite a few things I’d like to see in Boston. As for New York? Aside from visiting a few of my friends there, I can’t think of anything I’d do. I guess the Chrysler building is cool.

I’ve never been to either, but if I could only visit one I’d pick Boston. I can’t think of anything that really interests me about New York.

I wouldn’t trade my Miata for an 86, since it’s so much lighter and I prefer the double-wishbone front end. But a 308? I’ve watched too much Magnum to say no to that. Wish I’d bought one when they were cheap.
