No "probably" here. Final Fantasy VIII is definitely my favorite of the series, despite (or maybe even because of) all its gonzo weirdness. And even with all its crazy twists, you're right, its characters are weirdly more relatable than the ones in other FF games.

I accuse Goody Meow Meow Fuzzyface!

They should have just showed Living Single. Everyone liked that!

And also that perjury led to the death of a delicate, innocent man who was subjected to whatever the horrors of the prison system was at the time.

I adored LoD, and I grinded it too. Samantha's totally right about its flaws, but I still look back with a lot of fondness at that game. Hell, it was a lot more fun than FFIX.

Netflix programmers and executives. What do they know? Do they know things? Let's find out!

And that was just one of the many "Wait, did that really happen? Oh, yeah!" moments of the evening. I'd forgotten how insane this whole thing was.

Oh, daaaaaaaaaamn.

Gay Version:

You articulated my thoughts on this better than I ever could. My sister and I totally loved the Archie comics of the '70s-'80s, and I'd be open to an adaptation of it for TV, but this…sounds wretched.

Whoever worked on the show did their homework, too, because in a bunch of the tossaway lines, they mention real neighborhoods that actually contain big-box stores. ("Did you hear about Maplewood Commons?" "Such-and-such happened at the Richmond Heights store…")

I'm not sharing with Kaitlyn!

This sounds incredible, and I will be trying it out tout de suite. Thanks!

Post the recipe! I need a good chili!

I hadn't ever seen a single frame of Battlestar Galactica before this week, but my gaming group played the board game last week and is likely to again tonight. SO FUN. Although that may be because I got to be a secret cylon and plot against my friends.

The foreign adviser lady was easy on the eyes, but I can't remember any of her catchphrases

"Here we stand, surrounded by piles of manure, despite the fact that I have yet to see a single animal."

I'm trying to think of my favorite use of old-school FMV, and the first thing to spring to mind was the council from Civilization II. I miss those goofy weirdos.

I loved, loved, loved that game. (And yeah, the path to a conviction of murder in the 1st degree involved some counter-intuitive questioning.)

Updated request: They all have different composers, but I would love to go to an orchestral performance of all the Sims soundtracks.
