This common internet hot take is so flaccid and idiotic. “If you can’t objectively review a movie for what it is trying to accomplish and who it is intended for, then you’re failing your readers” is another way of saying, “if you ain’t a fanboy willing to overlook a shitty movie in favor of fan service then fuck off.”

You married a woman who hates Paul McCartney?  Does she also hate Disneyland, hamburgers and Christmas?  Jesus Christ.

Because they asked him?  What was he supposed to do, lie or refuse to answer?  Who cares?

You rang?

The one thing he doesn’t have is a sense of humor.  Chamalet is far better suited for a My Left Foot prequel than this.

An interesting aspect of modern life is that because I’m not paying for another streamer, I’ll never see this. In years past if you wanted to see something you could without having to commit to some ongoing obligation.

Cats suck so hard you don’t even want to have to see them to kill them.

Yep. He’s complaining about being “cancelled,” which he isn’t, as he steadily alienates more and more of his fans. He’s effectively cancelling himself.

If think these anti-trans rants are “good art,” well . . . you might be transphobic.

Who’s banning Dave Chappelle?  What are you talking about?

Good comment. And it betrays what’s really going on here: Dave is an old man. He’s so curmudgeonly he’s starting to sound a like like some MAGA grandpa.

Honest question: is he mentally challenged? In every interview I’ve ever seen with him he seems completely baffled, more gone that he could get on weed.

I’m sure that like the rest of us she’s just waiting for Nikki Minaj to finish her research and let us know whether it’s safe.

99% of what’s on Netflix is pure shit, why would they remove this turd?

His shit just comes off as one more fussy old man.  It’s lame, and it ruins his cool guy persona.  I’ve stopped watching his standup because of this tired bullshit.

I keep Netflix for my kids, but I haven’t watched it myself in years, it’s all mediocre shit.

Has there ever been a Netflix movie that’s worth getting excite about?

You call it black humor, but it seems more like meanspiritedness to me, just puts a bad taste in your mouth that undermines the emotional/character notes he tries to hit later.

It’s got that same mean-spirited vibe (especially among the “normal people”) that undermined Suicide Squad.  I think Gunn sometimes gets “edgy” and “mean” mixed up.

Is there a Spoiler Space for this one?
