I think comedians these days are pressured into doing a little of everything all at once.

Every POTUS so far has been an imperialist and war criminal, which should make the observation with regard to one or another pretty banal in the scheme of things. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m saying there’s not really a point to bringing it up.

It’s indeed depressing that this war criminal isn’t in prison for the rest of his life for all the people he had his robots murder, super-villain-style, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria...

Agreed. In fact, it wasn’t particularly scary. If you delete the inane “funny” scenes of the friend (which were apparently tacked on to lengthy an otherwise too-short movie, and it shows), you basically have a good, slightly long episode of the Twilight Zone.

I thought the winkie textmoji and the comparing of racism to people not liking comic books were pretty solid indicators that my reply was tongue-in-cheek.

As shown in both the images you linked, it was on par with It Follows (though I enjoyed It Follows more overall). Both are good modern horror movies but neither is a masterpiece. 

Yeah its almost like there was something about both movies that made critics hesitant to criticize any aspect of them.

Someone liked Game Night? I mean, someone likes their comedy full of broad strokes and shallow, familiar types?  That movie was created by A. I.  And worse, A.I. that was clearly corporate-based.  It’s not a film that belongs to the world.  Chips are Tostitos. Taxis are Ubers.  There’s nothing remotely human happening…
