Here’s the problem. People enjoy the outrage. Attacking Harvey Weinstein feels fucking GREAT. Not saying it shouldn’t feel good, that’s above my paygrade. But people clearly enjoy playing judge and jury on the internet. Fills their brain with the right chemicals.

He did like ten minutes on a Monday.  Pretty low stakes.

I mean, he did like 5 minutes at the Cellar on a Monday and the internet is losing their fucking mind, so it’s not like it’s all chill for him to go back to stand up apparently.

Why does his race matter?

It’s an honest question. People don’t want redemption in these cases. And find the idea of even discussing it distasteful.

He did apologize, years before the story broke.

That article would have gotten much less clicks.

Doing stand up is not redemption.

When the story broke he had already stopped doing it. All the accusations are about 10 years old. In the New York Times story the women say that he personally called them and apologized after it had happened.

It’s not either/or.  Women should be listened to and respected.  But men need to continue living, even after their requisite public shaming.

I don’t believe he did anything illegal.

Would you prefer Louis CK commit suicide? Cause if you don’t have the balls to admit that, then you have to accept that he should be allowed to live.
