I super duper rolled my eyes at Green Cadet-sky. Oh sorry, Greer Kadetsky.

Wasn’t that “rule” improperly ported over from Latin (where it really IS grammatically incorrect) to English by an overzealous teacher? But, yes, it’s bullshit.
Nah, I don’t think so. I got mine from CameraReadyCosmetics, and they’re also on Mustaev’s own site.
OH HEY, check out Mustaev’s pressed powder shadow in “Aura”! It looks PRETTY DAMN CLOSE to that MAC shade! (Swatches.) They’re $13 each in a little single compact, or if you’re into the build-your-own-palette thing you can get just a refill pan for $7.
WOO, I’m going to be doing bright eyeshadow ALL SUMMER. Or at least that’s my goal. Or rather, my goal is to not default to greys and silvers so damn often.
You’d think I’d be able to wear purples on my very-fair-very-pink skin but NOPE. So many of them make me look orange? IT’S WEIRD. (I adore blues, tho.)
God I miss L.A. so much. :( Here in the gulf south it’s in the 60s/70s ... which would be acceptable if not for the 80-100% humidity all the damn time, which makes me feel either clammy or chilly with every five-degree temperature variance, and also fucks up my hair. LAME.
What are your problem patches like? If it’s dry, red, itchy, and/or bumpy, it could be eczema or another condition where your skin overproduces keratin, or is having some kind of histamine reaction to god-knows-what. If you’ve tried OTC cortisone creams to no avail, grab a tube of The Ordinary’s azelaic acid…
Honest to god if you’ve got Problem Skin (always breaking out, or always dry, or always having an irritated reaction), you’re better off paying less attention to particular products, and more attention to what’s IN them. I’ve seen way, way too many accounts of “wow I tried products X, Y, Z, Z1, Z2-16 and nothing…
That shit is THE BUSINESS! I just repped it on another comment! SO pleased with it, and it’s so nice under makeup.
I recently (just a few weeks ago) started using Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50 PA+++, and REALLY dig it. It absorbs completely, feels a little bit mattifying, behaves beautifully under makeup, no white cast, and doesn’t contain anything that pisses off my skin, which is both extremely acne-prone and also…
It’s probably good as a mattifying primer because it’s got a shitload of cyclopentasiloxane (aka cyclomethicone) in it, which is often used as the main ingredient in mattifying/blurring primers (along with silica, which it also has) — and which can also be EXTREMELY acnegenic if you’re prone to cystic breakouts. Ditto…
My own bf is also part of the Unrepentant Soap Army. He recently purchased a multipack of some Olay bullshit that’s FULL of stearic acid and I’m like SON, NO. ACNEEEEEE. So I sent him home with half a dozen bars of the ~fancy~ soaps I still sometimes can’t stop myself from buying, even tho I’ve really only used shower…
INTERESTING. Maybe I can do a fake-up test drive by wrapping my little hand-held silicone scrubby pad around a vibrator? BRB.
I had a cheap knockoff one of those vibratey silicone face cleaner things in my amazon cart FOREVERRRRR and then I took it out because ehhh. I’ve been doing (usually) a two-step cleanse at least once a day tho — a gommage peel then a normal foaming face wash (which I do for a sixty-second count), so I feel like I’m…
I feel very strongly that Tessa and Rosario Dawson should play sisters who are intergalactic assassins or possibly wisecracking spaceship thieves.
OMG I momentarily forgot about that show! Now I’m EXCITED for a new season! 🖤
That IS weird! I have some odd sensitivities too, but most of mine result in Horrible Dire Breakouts rather than dryness.
