Fitz & Simmons - either get them together or have him move on. We don’t need to see him pining for Simmons when she’s not into him.

Agreed. It also didn’t help that they chose the release date extremely poorly. (Fun fact: both the Fright Night and Conan remakes were released on the same weekend, and both were sorely trounced by The Help in its third week.)

Here in New Zealand, the local chains aren’t just expecting some serious opening day cosplaying — they’re encouraging it. But I guess that’s what happens when you assume people aren’t idiots, despite all efforts to prove otherwise. :)

You’re thinking of the Croatoans (sp?) who sacrificed themselves to stop one of the avatars of the wyrm. The BSDs used to be the White Howlers, pictish folk from Scotland. They willingly walked the black spiral out of hubris and the entire tribe eventually Fell and became the Black Spiral Dancers.

No shame at all.

To be fair, these were not – strictly speaking – gorillas. They were another species with superficial resemblances to gorillas but with much more intelligence that had evolved in isolation.

I can’t imagine anything like that up here. They’re not even diligent about checking to see if my pockets are laden down with contraband candy (they are). Although when your entire workforce is composed of teenagers I guess you’re not really going for “diligence.”

Hey look, I found a gif that illustrates my point, and shows of the second best thing, a heaping helping of Tim Curry.

This guy knows. The BG’s are similar to the Nossys in that they know shit. I love ‘em for that.

I was, at one point, paid to know these particular bits of geek-trivia, and I still label it “useless information.”

No worries. Notice, I knew just what you were mixing up? Yeah, not far behind you, though I am blissfully ignorant re: the Backstreet Boys. ;)

Actually, IIRC, the first Black Spiral Dancers were the remains of the White Howlers.

They were the White Howlers, based on the Picts of Scotland.

They were the White Howlers, and they were of Pictish origin. Heavily inspired by Robert E Howard’s pictish/mythos stories.

Gangrel had all the awesome powers. Feed on animals, turn to mist, sleep in the ground and turn into bats or wolves. Don’t knock the animal control powers either awesome for spying and mass murder.

Rob is often wrong, especially when he is saying (A) is better than (B).

No, they were a pictish tribe (white lions?) that was almost entirely overrun, and turned to the Spiral to save themselves. Now BSD’s are almost entirely snatched from other tribes.

Glass Walkers are lousy tippers.

“a not subtle at all jab at those who criticized the rampant destruction in Man of Steel.”
