It’s funny how Joss Whedon hated Sutherland because Sutherland had the gall to not read Whedon’s lines as written and improved on them as he saw fit. I guess Sutherland got the last laugh on that - he died a hero, while Whedon lived long enough to become a villain.

Fully agreed!!

Were you intending to reply to me? Because I never said this was the one thing that Batman interesting.

Yes! I think that's indeed the one I’m thinking about. I couldn't tell you what channel it was originally on in the US, but I do know that up here in French Canada it was on a premium HBO-like channel, yeah.

Honestly, I feel like you’re interpretation is the same one as expressed in the article, but with more steps.

You may not like it, but it is a viable interpretation of the character and it’s been a thing for a few decades at this point, both in comics and in various interpretation, including thr animated series.

If the links to M3gan are kept to a minimum and this is allowed to be its own thing, this could be interesting.

God I need to catch up on that show. It’s just so intense I can’t watch too much at once.

Now playing

One of my favourite starring Donald Sutherland is a cheesy creature feature named Virus:

Smile was a good idea marred by bad execution. All the scares were in the trailer, and the ending makes the whole movie pointless. It’s even more disappointing that the movie did set up a much better twist ending it didn’t actually go through with.

Considering how actors nowadays have to be on social media to keep their careers (many studios mandate it, because it’s advertising they don’t have to pay for) and considering how too many dudes behave on the internet towards women, it could be bad for unprepared actresses, yeah.

Live-action Totally Spies? I pity the poor trio of actresses they will rope in. 75% of the cartoon’s appeal is that it’s a French fetish fest. Any faithful adaptation would be only a few steps away from a porno spoof.

I’ll believe it when I see it. There has been a number of false starts over the years, and I’m not sure that many people still want a sequel to Spaceballs. Odds this movie ever comes to fruition are very, very low.

Honestly, I’m surprised it took so long. Even if it is the trainwreck it seems to be shaping up to be, people love watching big shiny famous trains wreck themselves in a huge ball of hubristic fire. As long as they don’t overextend themselves on the release strategy (and IMAX might be overextending), they’ll make

So its just the current logo with “Comics” next to it? Ok... I don’t see the problem here? It seems like a total non-news.

MGM+? That's a thing? Welp, here's to me not watching this then, I guess

Nah. I hate the pathetic “everything is woke!!!” chuds, but Madame Web is a terrible movie. There might have been a good idea in there at some point, maybe, but it was totally destroyed by studio interference, complete plot rewrites in editing and appalling postptoduction (the ADR on the bad guy, oh my god). It's a

You rarely get expensive movies like this that are so truly incompetent that it feels like it fell from a time warp of 25 years ago where there wasn’t as much micromanaging of IP projects.”

Except Madame Web didn’t just not deliver what the trailers promised. It delivered nothing at all beyond the promise itself. It was a giant placeholder for the movie it was advertised as.

Curse you, now I totally want a biopic about Jim Varney titled The Importance of Being Ernest!!
