I love you, Jez, but these constant reaches to justify unreasonable vilification of random men make me roll my eyes. As 9/10 commenters have stated below, Pharrell isn't doing anything Robin Thicke-esque. Chill.

I agree. People on here need to take some deep breaths!
Haha I was about to say...since I wasn't participating in anything to my knowledge, this roommate situation just got a lot more nefarious!
Haha, it was kind of surreal. But...college? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had rented one of those microfridges from the school for the year and never opened the freezer because I was a dumb freshman. The last week of school, it had to defrost before I returned it, and when I finally opened the freezer, there was a bag full of urine samples in those containers you get a doctor's office. I…
One of my roommates secretly kept containers of urine in my freezer. RoomSync, where were you!?!?
Who, ok, I absolutely never said anything about people "deserving" to get into college.
Theoretically, yes. However, the Top 10% decision was implemented at the expense of affirmative action programs, which resulted in the rule helping less Hispanics, for instance (which this article points out http://blog.chron.com/momhouston/201…). I'm not saying the rule is awful or anything, it's a good start, but…
Haha it ended up working fine, I moved to the liberal bubble of MA for college and got out of TX! :)
5A here, too. I mean, I understand the basic idea of it, and it's a good idea. I'm certainly not advocating for leaving anyone in the sticks, but my high school wasn't exactly made up of well-off students, and every high school grades differently. I'm just saying there are some issues with the blanket top 10% rule…
I just want to point out that the top 10% thing doesn't exactly work out that well. For instance, I went to a massive public high school, graduated with a 3.8 GPA, and still wasn't in the Top 10% because my high school was incredibly competitive. The valedictorian at a tiny rural high school outside of town had a 3.8…
I just don't buy that. The Twilight books had sold millions of copies, and Wiki tells me that the first movie's budget was about $37 million. They definitely did not think it was going to be some indie movie.
That's not why I dislike her, at all. I dislike the fact that she seems so, so bored and disdainful of Hollywood when a shitty Hollywood blockbuster got her millions of dollars and international recognition. If you didn't like attention, why would you sign up for a surefire tween-driven blockbuster?
I agree. It's a dark, fucked up game. If you don't want to see dark, fucked up subjects (which is completely valid!) you should probably not play a game called Cards Against Humanity.
I agree that the store was certainly wrong in this case (the dog had a vest on and you're still pressing the issue? Yeesh.)
I used to stay up until like 4 playing The Sims 2 and listening to No Doubt. Was I unwittingly doing "vamping" right??
When I was a little kid I used to give my dog these and take one for myself...
Gah Megan Fox. That is cliche! ;) Down to earth and adorkable? Yes! (Emma Stone, JLaw). But Tswift? blech
I totally agree and am on board with all of the personality-driven starlets and classy actresses, but TSwift? Gah. Emma Stone, hell yeah, I'd be totally on board, but something about Taylor Swift just seems...bland? idk.
My boyfriend thinks Taylor Swift is cute. I'm kind of disappointed in his choice because TSwift is probably the most boring celebrity on the planet...like, he couldn't have chosen a bombshell babe like Adriana Lima or Scarlet Johansson?
