Whatever engine is in the rental I am taking to track day.

I honestly thought the title image was Hamilton vs Verstappen until I read the image.

And how would they enforce any earring/nosering rules?

the Armco barrier

He would have been unable to wear a helmet or a HANS device, which are both required for nearly every professional racing series.

Didn’t even get to the part where Nissany ran two wheels on the dirt at the start for no reason, then again on the straight to Copse for no reason, running wide outside the track through Copse corner; understeering into Novalak at Stowe corner, which made him run wide there and ended with a lovely rejoin and near

By the headline I would presume if he was decapitated he would also banned from racing

So, maybe I don’t know how this racing thing works. But this just seems like karma to me.

Can we all take a moment of thanks that they didn’t do this on June 19th?

This is a thoughtful put together. Bigger 1.8 diff and axles. Plenty to handle this. 1.6 would have been a timebomb. And this is a niiiice clean chassis from Vegas so 0 rust. I am a miata enthusiast. Wouldn’t have spent the effort building this with a shitbox to start. To much effort.

Damn I got a Random Jalopnik feature!! Last time I was featured here 🤌🏼

I love that this thing exists. It’s one of those “special” cars that really needs to find a “special” buyer. One who is slightly off-kilter in the head, but also has the disposable income to indulge in low-grade madness like this. Sadly, I only fall into one of those categories, and I won’t tell you which.

You’re pulling the Hitler card? On an automobile accident?

A bigot you say? Can you explain to me how, exactly?

You’re pulling the Hitler card? On an automobile accident? How does that equate to a genocide? This has to be the most dim-witted comment I’ve seen on this site.

ehhh just because they died doing something incredibly stupid and reckless doesn’t mean they weren’t people who also had positive qualities,  as well as loved ones that’ll miss them. Two things, can be true, after all. A fatality can be both a sad event, and a product of incredible stupidity.

I’m glad they only hurt themselves and not anyone else. Everything about these events epitomizes the idea of a douchebag. It’s incredibly unsafe, braggy for the point of being braggy, wholly inconsiderate of the safety and well-being of anyone else, and generally gives the vibe of “I am the coolest fucking person on

Rich people doing stupid things in fast cars on public roads learn tragic lesson, more at 11.

Agreed. I ticked ND, but I was firmly on the fence because of today’s nutso market.

Current market be damned! It’s really hard to pay 2018 MSRP for a four year old car. I know the days of 50% depreciation in two years went away in the 1990's, but this is insane.
