Such an unusual name, ‘Latrine.’ How did your company come by it”

The console controls have always been ass. It’s a little better on PC for gunplay (but harder for driving) but the keybindings are random AF.

That was my takeaway after just half of the pilot! Bleh.   Glad I bailed when I did!

I... can’t stop staring at this.

Holy shit, this was a dynamite interview.

I’m fine with that honestly. I feel as long as he has stories he feels like directing, why not direct? And always thought it a bit weird that he would want to stop at only 10 films.
If Scorsese had finished after 10 movies, because it was a nice clean number, we would have missed out on Last Temptation of Christ,

I got halfway through the first episode, it was Whedon’s worst tics and instincts dialed up to 11.

Some parts of Ontario are pretty conservative. Mostly the smaller towns and such, but remember Toronto had Rob Ford as mayor and currently has his brother as premier.

Yeah, if Angelo is what Perkins has been yearning for all these years, I might have to stop crediting his opinions on what SNL should be aiming for. It’s a mediocre joke, repeated three or four times. Roughly the quality I’d expect when my buddy emcee’d the performance night for the level 3 improv class.

I definitely get the burnout on the grimdarkness, but I think (based on the earlier trailer more than this one) that this one’s going for actual Gothic-Gothic, which seems closer to some of the darker Batman comics I remember reading when I was younger. Which I’m fine with.

There are a handful of good Friday the 13th movies. Jason X isn’t at the level of Parts 2, 4, or 6, but it’s miles beyond garbage like Parts 3, 5, or 8.

pfft, GWAR’s been threatening to kill my whole family on stage for decades

I’m sure five people on Twitter will complain about this and then we’ll hear about how there’s a huge controversy about it.

No one on Twitter has a problem with this. It has had 100% support from commentators delighted that there will be a bisexual Superman, just like there are bisexual people in real life.

The first two movies were frankly pretty mediocre, as much fun as it is just to see the gang together again. I think that was probably unavoidable — they write these movies around all the other projects the cast has going on, and Omundson’s stroke apparently really scotched some of their plans for the first movie, so

“Lord of the Flies”. I know that sounds pretentious, maybe, but I was 12 when I picked it up at random from my school library, and when ***** is killed it scared me so bad I put the book into my dresser drawer for two days. When I looked at the drawer it was in, I’d hear a roaring in my ears, and distant crashing

Shirley Jackson’s “The Haunting of Hill House”. Things are just ever so slightly wrong at every turn. It lets you know that it’s going to creep up on you, then pulls the rug out from under you all the same. You know some kind of terror is coming, but when it comes it’s so much stranger and inexplicable than you

In high school a bunch of people I know used to pass around a copy of American Psycho one of them had (still sold under the counter in Australia) and it was one of the most disturbing things, not even just books, I’d ever experienced.
