I want to like the Shamrock Shake, but last time I had it (maybe 15 years ago?) it just tasted way too chemical-y.

Good point about raising money for the league, not the team. I assumed that this was like a version of an AAU kind of thing where the teams are all independent but arrange games against each other. But admittedly, I don’t know too much about Little League AND if this is an independent team, that is possibly a worse…
No definitive answer. Here is the link to the gofundme:
What’s confusing is this article and the actual GoFundMe site say that the money will be used for dues, uniforms, etc. Still a wealthy person asking randos for money to fund a hobby which is bad optics. But then her twitter where she posts the link says its to fund a trip to Cooperstown, which is completely different.…
A couple of thoughts from an internet rando:
What I don’t understand is why Timberlake felt the need to say anything. Britney said some stuff about him in the book which, fine. It’s a memoir, that was a part of her life. While he doesn’t look like a fucking prince in the book, I think a good portion of people can rationalize it as two messy kids being messy and…
I haven’t listened to podcasts in years and I can still hear Marc Maron’s voice talking about how much he loves MeUndies.
I’ve heard of 4 of the sit down places and only 2 of the quick serve ones. I really don’t know what to make of this list, but it is so wild that my gut is that the methodology is pretty flawed. What were the questions even that “highest score” was used as the metric? Was it based on value? Service? Food? A combination?
This movie looks crazy and I am in. It is also another reason why I think Patel should be the next James Bond.
“[Thing X] should be banned unless it personally helps me, in which case [Thing X] should still be banned but I should get an exemption” is so on brand for the gop that this shouldn’t even be news any more.
Let’s set aside Marr not wanting trump to play this song because, well, obviously. What the fuck were the trump people thinking? This is a preeetttyyyy downbeat song to be playing at a rally. And I can’t imagine that crowd has enough familiarity to get into it. This has similar vibes to googling something and going…
“Jon Stewart is the voice of our generation, and we are honored to have him return to Comedy Central’s The Daily Show to help us all make sense of the insanity and division roiling the country as we enter the election season,” said Chris McCarthy, President/CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios in a statement…
He’s going to get a bonus for introducing the meat slicer program, then probably another bonus for being the guy who got rid of it because it was such a lousy idea.
Giving away my age here, but I distinctly remember the thrill among my friend group discussing that JP was essentially an R-rated movie without the cursing (ie horror and gore). That was one, though not the only, selling point that got us so amped up for the movie.
I have not seen the movie, but this reminds me of the Christopher Lee quote, “Every actor has to make terrible films from time to time, but the trick is never to be terrible in them.”
I get the sense that this project is more about Pauly Shore wanting a job than any desire to talk about Richard Simmons or tell his story.
A few thoughts from an internet rando:
Agreed
it sucks that the gop has multiple paths to victory: destroy the govt, enact their fascist policies, muck up the process to sow distrust or create disproportionate representation. Dems have only one and its the toughest: actually govern in accordance with the will of the majority.
I found this post thought-provoking. I always assumed that they were alien in the truest sense - the biology that makes sense to us just didn’t apply to them. Like IIRC the aliens being colors more or less in the Color Out of Space. But the idea that they were manufactured never occurred to me.
