New York is roughly the size of North Carolina. New York City is a couple square miles. The reason these projects are in red states is because red states border Mexico.

In 2016, due to a populist surge on the right, roughly 60% of eligible Americans voted. So there’s 40% of the country that didn’t. 30% of voters voted against trump. 40% didn’t vote at all. Maybe a big percentage of that 40% are waiting for someone to vote FOR rather than just voting against somebody.
