Your sister just hasn't realized the genius of the kettle yet. I recently discovered it's the easiest way to soft-boil eggs to put on toast and i'm never using a pot again! Best invention ever? probably not, but it's right up there for enabling my lazy not wanting to walk to the kitchen mentality.

I am very fond of my electric kettle. Tea? check. Hard boiling eggs for lunch? good to go. Need hot water for instant soups/noodles? absolutely. (if you can't tell, i'm a college student...)

Totally sympathize! I'm a super senior at my university (study abroad set me back a couple credits. curses!) and most of my friends have graduated or transferred out. The only advice that I can give is try to talk to the people in your classes. Like really make an effort, even though its weird and awkward. If nothing

That sad moment when you realize that your foundation is slightly too dark for your skin... and it's the lightest shade that they make in that brand. Ugh... why are winters in Alaska so long? I don't remember what summer looks like...

Ellipses user here. Personally, I use them more in a thoughtful way and try to put more information after the ellipses so they aren't so weighted and leading. Example: I would say "Ok.... but my car battery is acting up" or "Ok... but not great". I do it because it rather mirrors the way I talk and think... I think in

Some advice, mostly commiseration. My bunions have gotten worse over the years (only 22! I call them my "old lady feet") and I find that the shoes I wear really make a difference. Have you tried going to a podiatrist? I finally saw one and she had great recommendations on foot wear and supportive insoles/inserts for

My boyfriend swears by LifeStyles (i think that is the brand) Ultra Lubricated. We also sometimes use lube (water based one) on top of that. I think I would just shop around, find a brand that works for you and your wife. I personally am not a huge fan of Trojans but... I think it really is a personal thing.

I spent a week on Crete and had an AWESOME time. We were in Chania, and it was amazing. We also did a lot of hiking in the area and had a blast. If I had to recommend a place, I'd say Crete. The history, art, and architecture were amazing and definitely worth seeing.
