this is one of two YA authors I will read when new stuff comes out (the other is Maggie Stiefvater), so I was actually amazed and pleased to see a review at a site I frequent.

I wouldn't say complete pile of garbage but it was one of those books that made me question liking the first two.

me too! I liked the first two books of the DOSAB series. (although, honestly, the third one kind of lost me with its scope-expansion mixed with not much plot movement.)

Hello! I'm still here, just lurkier. BTW the NPR interview was Saturday 2/4, not last Thursday. I knew I heard it on a run but forgot which day the run occurred. You would probably have found it anyway.
