I've been rear ended by a school teacher in regular shoes before.

I had an 85 Monte Carlo, and, somehow managed at 45-50 mph to flick a cigarette outside the passenger window (my brother was driving), and it came back in the DRIVER’S window and got stuck between his back and the seat. The t-tops were still in.
I wish I had taken a picture. I was driving an 05 mustang, this was probably 08. We got over a foot of snow down here in NC and I was at my parents 45 minutes away (so I suspect this was Xmas). I had to be at work at 5 am. I cleared off the car, and my dad and I stuffed every bit of firewood that would fit into the…
I cannot argue with that logic, good sir! You've won this round, dammit.
Olds, along with Chrysler and Buick, were like THE og cool car people, and original hotrodders. From the Rocket 88, to the Starfire and Jetfire, the 442 and the Toronado, the 80s Era Hurst/Olds, and let’s face it.. The Cutlass has been cool as hell several times in its history.
At that point, wouldn't be better off buying a working used truck from another manufacturer though? Like a similar year trailblazer which comes with a 6 liter ls2 already installed! :)
6 grand for the "all season truck" and the privilege of spending THIRTY Six grand on the tools and garage to keep it rolling.
This is a good candidate for a swap with an AMC 390, possibly with some further boring and stroking. Even with the original semi-problematic Ford 390, it's still not a bad setup. And sequential tail lights can never not be cool.
Blame Canada?
The Pontiac G8 (I. E. Holden Commodore, I. E. Chevy SS) was the single best car released under an American banner in the modern Era. Despite its somewhat cheap interior. Not only did it have balance and power, it was easily upgradeable. We have a stock GT that is plenty strong on its own, but will be headed for a…
Yet, once again, bullet trains are a thing that exists... Whereas hyperloops do not.
Yeah, but it’s a Mitsubishi. Pretty soon, we won’t even be able to find mechanics who have seen one of any model in the flesh.
I remember an 84 corolla I had that had the timing chain run behind one ear of the water pump. Had to take off the pump to change it. Was an odd design choice.
One man’s project is another man’s death trap.
That's because jurassic park wouldn't be released for 3 more years, so no one had cups the size of a watermelon yet, aside from some trucker gas stations. Supersize had yet to become a widespread thing.
To be fair, I had a 2004 Malibu eat not one, but two cds (I had forgotten one was stuck in there after many months).
Don't worry, though, EVs don't have to pay road tax, since they don't do any damage to them.
Until the month the sound the motor makes is the same one as an m80 in a mailbox, anyway!
Best looking car of the 80s right there.
I would say the 80s were an Era of performance growth so much as performance recovery.
