As a Cleveland sports fan, I think I’ll take up watching the Blue Jackets next winter. I don’t even have Browns merchandise left to toss in a fire cathartically. This team is just dead to me, football is dead to me, and my only hope is that LeBron stays so next winter isn’t a long gaze into the sporting abyss.

Well, he does have to cross that basepath as the runner would normally be taking a second lead. So that’s an issue. Also, umpires telling players to stop talking shit to each other so as to avoid escalation is part of their job.

Baseball fan here, this isn’t so much cool in the same vein as “holy hell this LeBron dunk sent his defender to the afterlife”. This is more in the vein of “watch this offense get 7 offensive rebounds on the same possession and still not score” or “this kicker had to rekick 4 times due to penalties and timeouts”.

Burneko, Quaid, Redford and Draper are the writers who took the most strikingly anti-process takes on here. Samer not so much.

As a Cavs fan, I’m hoping the Cavs end up with a top 5 pick and Brookyln winning 2 straight against the Bulls sucked. But the Cavs managed to salvahe one spot by losing to the Knicks. My dream scenario is Philly getting #1 via the Lakers and the Cavs getting #2. End all this tanking with the two playoff teams holding

Mike Brown isn’t even the worst pro football owner in his own state, he might not crack the top 10 in the entire league. He’s a complete shitbag and a cheapskate, but he’s nowhere near Jerruh or Snyder.

Minor correction: the Cavs have two open roster spots. They’re bringing on Perkins because league rules require them to have a certain amount of players for a certain amount of games (they previously signed two dudes to 10 day contracts that never played)

I got a Spiders throwback jersey off of Ebbets Field Flannels. It’s... authentic. Actual wool. Not recommended for summer. But a good jersey otherwise.

As a Tribe fan, these people are the worst. I removed my Wahoo decals and started only buying gear without the Chief pretty much right after I went to opening day and saw those protesters. Literally the only argument I ever needed, and should ever be needed.

First off, you’re a moral monster.

I think mostly just let McCaw past him and not have McCaw dangling on him. The angle shown at the one minute mark I think shows what he was trying to do... get past the guy’s body. Sort of trying to matador and let McCaw by (why he tucks his arm behind his back). But he was already running that way just when he saw

Man, two days into the season and Cincy fans are already bailing. I don’t blame them, but wow.

When I see plays like this, I wonder how exactly Jokic works in the NBA. I know he can hit 3s and get boards, but he’s so slow that it seems like he has to be a liability on switches and a boat anchor on the break.

I was going to say there’s no way because Boykin isn’t exactly Greg Hardy talent wise. Then I remembered Brandon Weeden has a job and their current backup QB is someone named Cooper Rush, who was undrafted out of Central Michigan.

No, the g league has the same age restrictions but I’ve long held that this would be a great way of undermining the one and done rule. Change is so that most players can’t play in the NBA until they’re 20 but if they want they can be drafted and spend a few years in the g league right out of high school.

I would like to register my disappointment that the tag for this is not “Sebastians Ahoy!”

I don’t disagree that he could have seen more punishment, but he was also released and subsequently blacklisted from the affiliated minor leagues. You can at least say he paid some price.

Minor thing: it’s the G League now. I hate it too, but that’s what it is.

The Browns entered 2017 with 3 young QBs each looking to carve out a role. They had a second round pick in Kizer who had “all the physical talent” needed. They had a second year guy with starting experience, really good accuracy and the hope he could stay healthy in Kessler. They had a wild card in Hogan, a 2nd year

They did drag him into the bushes, they were intending saw his legs apart, heid them from view.
