Thompson never had dunks like that or any sort of midrange game. Thompson really worked when the team had the big 3 whonall needed touches. He was free to be the roll guy who got occasional uncontested dunks, and him never demanding the ball on offense fit when the team had 3 guys who all needed lots of touches.

I like that bit about J.R throwing a gleefully irresponsible lob. Almost everything JR does is some level of unconscionable. Him and Nance together make for a very fun team.

So what you’re saying is that the Pistons should stop trying to achieve mediocre results, and May be undergo some sort of process towards being relevant?

It’s not as great as the time he held the ball behind Dellavesova.

It’s more than 7 years at this point. You’re only including their major league time, when their minor league salary is *also* artificially suppressed. And depending on the player, that can be anywhere from 2 to 6 and a half years before they have the leverage of minor league free agency.

Has Deadspin turned on Westbrook? Now it seems we all talk about his stat chasing and defensive lapses. He’s not that tall and he tends to be over aggressive on steals sometimes (he’s 4th in the league on S/gm), so he’s never going to be Kawhi, but he isn’t James Harden.

Conspiracy theory:

+1 lamp post

I would like to submit a conspiracy theory. The Marlins assumed opening day roster includes a lot of the young players they got back in these trades. At 3B, Brian Anderson. At SS, they have Riddle. The outfield has Sierra, Lee and Brinson. Even Wallach at C. Most of these guys have less than a month of service time,

I would really like video of the carry and the first tech to see how legitimate Durant’s complaints are. Yelling “how is that not a fucking foul” is legitimate grounds for a tech, and he should know better.

Osman should probably get more playing time with how terrible the rest of the team has been.

Giannis, Parker and Brogdon are all 25 and under, and those are their core. Bledsoe is 28, Middleton is 26. They are young. Not as young as the Sixers or Lakers or even the TWolves. But still young. They have veterans around that, but the core is important and they are young.

You’re correct in saying that shutting down the football and basketball team would get a reaction from the public. Where I don’t agree with you is that the reaction would be people deciding protecting kids is important. Instead, we will have an ugly debate where people demand their favorite sports back and it will be

Was the fan’s last name Hendricks or Fredericks? Because if his name was Taylor Hendricks, I have several gifs of independent lady wrestler Taeler Hendrix to post.

So he’s still hurt then, or what? Or did he just fuck himself up trying to compensate before and now he has to relearn to shoot right?

I still don’t understand why the Cavs benched TT in favor of Jae Crowder. Jae can shoot but Tristan is better at just about everything else, and the team has 4 other more capable shooters on the floor usually (offer void when DWade or Rose are out there). I also don’t know what the hell happened to JR.

I still think NightHawks was the best possible team name. It’s a sly nod to the history of Vegas, you could tie in Tom Waits references, and a military tribute all in one.

It’s weird that LeBron is coming off as the enlightened statesman in all of this. He bitches about every perceived no call (and is a lot of times wildly wrong), but even he had the sense to say “yeah it’s a wrong call, but what are you gonna do?”

I think the one that had me most upset wasn’t even the forward progress no call on what clearly should have been a fumble. For me it was the last drive by the Chiefs, 2nd and 9 at the Tennessee 44, Smith throws a cross left to Harris. Cyprien hooks Harris’ arm well before the ball gets there and prevents him from

An 8 team field probably still would have excluded UCF unless the rules changed. The committee as it currently works would have probably put in USC and OSU this year no matter what. And then they would have probably some mix of Notre Dame, Miami, Auburn and Wisconsin before UCF.
