It sometimes included thanksgiving as well.

The whole “Merry Christmas” debacle is a perfect illustration of how sociopolitical discourse has degenerated in the United States.

One of the best things about my old retail job was people asking “Does the company even let you say ‘Merry Christmas’ anymore?!” like they were being clever and completely ignoring the large signs hanging in our Christmas section that said “Merry Christmas! December 25”, the countdown to Christmas our manager put up

A couple weeks ago I was in a Walmart in New Jersey, and two guys talking about the holidays ended with, “Well, have a Merry Christmas. If we’re even allowed to say that anymore...derp, derp, derp.”

One of the most hilarious things I observe here during the holidays in Oklahoma is watching Republicans reflexively wishing people “happy holidays” only to catch themselves right afterward and make excuses for having done so. Their horror at their self-perceived faux pas is priceless.

The White House Hanukkah party reminded me of this. Pretty sure that’s how 45 & Co. see things.

They really missed out not plastering the phrase “THERES A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE” all over their posters.

The best part is that anything, anything, she says and does around Meghan from here on in will be scrutinized and dissected on a global scale. This woman will become famous in the worst possible way, and she deserves every second of that while it’s thrown in her face.

Oh, she will. It will be delicious. Her little Nazi soul will scream in distress.

She will.

RIGHT? I have never had a fucking movie trailer make me so damn uncomfortable. The cheeze, the schmaltz, that absolutely poisonous music ... idk, I mean I recognize that Jackman does/is great at musical theater kind of stuff, but jesus goddamn christ this looks like the greatest shitshow on earth.

SAME AND AGREED

Yes! If you would have asked me before my first child I would have answered, ‘I think yes I might have abortion but it would be an extremely difficult decision to make’. But, my second pregnancy was in Japan, where the standard Trisomy 18, etc. etc. is not standard actually. So I had to request it. Despite the shaming

It’s amazing that he doesn’t consider someone making a literal federal case out of her abortion isn’t also traumatizing.

I keep remembering Colbert’s quote: “If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn’t help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we’ve got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don’t want

Right?? The abortion I had at 24 was the best decision at the time and such a non-issue. I never wanted children, but ALL of my girlfriends who had kids later on got more vehemently pro-choice AFTER they gave birth.

I’ve had three children and one abortion. The abortion was way, way, way less traumatic than each of the pregnancies/births/first 3 months after. It was also the best decision I’ve ever made.

I am so fucking sick of people deciding for others what constitutes a trauma.... that having an abortion is worse that carrying to term the fetus of your rapist.

Scott Lloyd is a fuckinh horror show as a government employee. He’s so clearly using government to enforce his own religious beliefs, and it’s incredibly infuriating that the DOJ and the rest of the government is validating and defending him.
