Honestly, I go the other way. Save the thanking of people none of us have heard of for after the stage. I tune in to hear a little bit about the art you are winning for and why its personal or has meaning in a larger societal context. But mostly I want real moments, whether they be sentimental victories or batshit…
I saw this at Fantastic Fest a couple weeks ago and it was the surprise delight of my week. Its way funnier than I was expecting and more Dear White People than 8 Mile.
