That's not the issue. The issue is the way the dog is jerking him around while he's pointing a loaded weapon at and around people. There is no shortage of other officers with guns drawn. There's no reason for him to be pointing a gun when he can't hold his aim or footing.

Oh no, it totally is. There are some isolated uses for in the medical field, but as a tool in the legal/criminal rehabilitation field it’s pretty useless. It’s one of those things that’s used because ‘common knowledge’ says it’s valuable, when really it’s only a step above polygraphy or psychics.

As others have said, it’s very Clockwork Orange and has little ,if any, discernable value from a safety or monitoring perspective. These are used in sex offender treatment to gauge differences in themes or images one finds arousing, under the supposition that treatment will influence what one finds arousing.

The concept and reasoning still seem somewhere between defective and problematic to me.
