I was about to ask if the review embargo had lifted. I assumed Kotaku would have had a review out last weekend at the latest.

I respect and honor your journey for I have walked it. Good luck to you on the path.
I want to talk briefly about my experience with this game and why I think it fully deserves the accolades it is getting. Honestly, I don’t want to tell you you’re wrong (in most ways, you aren’t...reviews are very subjective as we well know) but talking the game helps me think about why I love it, and the ways I love…
I agree with everything you’re saying but can we please swap The Witcher 3 for Skyrim, they both give you freedom to do what you want, when you want but Witcher is a million times better with immersion, stories, gameplay, mechanics, music, etc. Skyrim offers freedom but I’m pretty sure every cave offers the same story…
It’s the combination of things. The developers are the first to tell you that they looked at things like Skyrim for inspiration. So there’s no denying that.
Oh good I am not alone. Been so confused watching the praise this game is getting while looking back at the history of other similar games. Looks like a fun game, but maybe everyone needs to calm down a bit. Glad everyone is having fun, but maybe put down the pitchforks whenever someone doesn’t think it’s going to…
The biggest oversight is that you can’t pet the dogs. They’re good dogs Jason!
This is not only some damned fine snark, but fantastic Kinja.
I’m also curious to read any review where the game was played on Wii U since I’m planning on spending $60 on it 14 hours from now.
Actually what’s dystopian is not having a border and taking one’s chances with whoever chooses to come in, all in the name of some buzzwords like ‘diversity’.
And complaining about a lack of titles at launch is also par for course. For a lot of people there’s not much sense in buying a new system when the current systems still have so much to offer.
Another point in favor for the “rushed to market even if it wasn’t ready”.
Yeah, it still carries it’s predecessor about it’s neck like an albatross. By far the most common reason I hear that people don’t want to buy the game despite being interested is “I’m worried that I’ll buy it, and it’ll be dead in a few months/weeks” - something I’ve been hearing literally since pre-orders went up.

It’s doing fine. The sales are just ensuring a bigger player base at this point. The shot themselves in the foot with their chosen release window (which led to the initial price drops early) but the positive word of mouth is doing wonders for the game. They are doing the smart thing by keeping it low instead of…

Lego games are the only ones I’ve bought on release day. I also went to go see K.I.T.T at a mall appearance back in the day.
But it has a 6 year old port of Skyrim! Cut em some slack man
OK so let me sum this up:
Come on dude, they’re just a bunch of fans who have a lot of passion for the Metroid series. Their creativity and passion should be encouraged. At least they care enough about metroid to develop another game, unlike Nintendo.
Honestly, it’s not a “Muslim Ban”. It’s a temporary ban on travel into the United States from *any* citizen of one of those 7 countries (Muslim or not), mostly due to the fact that they are ridiculously war-torn, and have no good documentation for easy thorough vetting of their refugees or emigrants.
So, c’mon, lets…
To my knowledge (and I’m always open to being wrong), due to driver support and Nvidia’s involvement with game making studios; AMD products will never perform as well as Nvidia’s in game no matter the specs.
