Being from a musical family (mom and dad both sang, dad was a BA in music), I wouldn’t have really known it at the time I first played Mario 1, but its music was what drew me to it, as much as anything else in the game. Super Mario Bros’ “Outdoor Level” theme is perhaps the single most famous piece of music which has…
Yeah, I just think it was honestly a typo from the PR department at their studio. The black T and red bandana, along with the M60 machine gun are all ripped from the sequels.
I can’t think of a single person who’d understand the unbearable weight of massive talent better than Nicolas Cage.
Lets see, CDPR made sooo much money from the witcher 3, the best they ever have. What did they do, pay out bonuses, gave people time off, brought them all back to work on the next game.
That King Kong was better than it had any right to be. That somehow ended up being the most memorable X360 launch title for me.
Spot on.
Three weeks ago I was totally gonna go for a PS5 first and then get the Xbox somewhere down the line (as I did this gen), and now that’s totally flipped. I already pay for Gamepass Ultimate so that $35 a month deal for the series X is looking real nice. If games are cross generation that means I could play multiplayer…
Eh, not much there to make me second guess getting the Series X. Only two games I’d care about and they’re pricey as hell to boot. Not to mention I pretty much own all the games in PS+ Collection that matter to me which makes it a pretty weak response to Game Pass. Compare that to nearly full backwards compatibility…
Hmmm....I’m thinking you DIDN’T watch the digital foundry videos. It will be locked to 1080p. Why would a couple years make a difference? In three years you will still have 1080p veesions of the games. The CPU matters and it’s the same.
That’s not the point of the console. It’s basically a game pass machine, it’ll run everything fine at 1080p for people that just want something to play. This isn’t designed for people that read Kotaku, but it’ll have an audience.
Except it’s not 2001 anymore and 98% of their library is not shoot em ups or sports. One only needs to look at their Game Pass lineup to see why they are even selling this console.
Except this isn’t the console they’re pushing.
I’m utterly confused at why people think this is confusing. It’s the same naming convention they’ve been using for a while now.
If the name of the system will prevent you from buying or enjoying it, you seem to have a lot of problems that are non-gaming related.
The playstation naming scheme ist for people for which it is a problem to do anything else but count simple numbers.
MS actually did something kinda clever with the X box One X - X-B-O-X.…
I’m an “old” guy, my first handheld was the original fat Game Boy and I’ve had every handheld offering since then, but, honestly? My favorite handheld has to be the Switch. The ability to take “full” video games with you on the go has been a game changer for me. I love having the freedom to grab the Switch from my…
