The difference is while you’ve wasted time spreading negativity about something people clearly enjoy and isn’t harming anybody, I’ve wasted time subtly (and now not so subtly) telling you that’s a dick move; all in an effort to get *you* to think more carefully about what you say so that you don’t feel the need to

Welp, me and my friend have played all the previous Halo games in local co-op. Except 5, haven’t bought that yet because of this. And now I won’t buy this one. Will see how Gears 6 fares...

Maybe not, but they’re saying that cost is a large part of why it’s difficult. And, short of actually getting paid to play games, absolutely nothing will beat the cost of “free”.

You say “that’s stupid,” but you’re the person here who is clearly experiencing an inability to understand what is clearly an issue for many other people.

Difficult? Emulation makes experiencing older parts of gaming’s history largely trivial. And frankly if there isn’t potential value in it there’s little incentive for people to preserve stuff like this in any worthwhile condition.

Uh, that Tik Tok is a joke. She’s killing literal “bots” in a private Modern Warfare 2019 lobby to troll all of the people who claim she plays in “bot” lobbies. Those aren’t the real Swagg/Aydan/Biffle. That’s why those people didn’t respond.

I am with you on this - I play unhealthy amounts of CoD, watch and follow tons of the greats in the pros and streaming, and this video doesn’t look right at all. First of all, her sensitivity looks WAY too low. I’ve never seen anyone whose camera moves that slowly be competitive in any sense. I would even argue that

You can use a VPN to “put” yourself in a less populated region where the talent pool will be lower. It’ll try to queue you into a lobby with similar skilled players but when it takes too long to find them, you eventually get put into any lobby which tends to be a lower K/D lobby.

I have to be careful here. I think these people who are taking this to an extreme are so far off base that it highlights the very essence of the toxicity of bro culture.

...but the Tik Tok is capital “F” Fake. I’ve played a lot of Call of Duty. So much Call of Duty that it’s incredibly unhealthy. Every annual release

The tiktok you guys are referencing where she kills “pro players” is a joke from her. The names are all bot names in the lobby but that doesn’t change the fact she is good at Warzone. Most the comments pointing out she is in a bot game are missing the joke from her.

It’s good to know your headline writers are as terrible about reading the entire story as the Kotaku audience is.

Didn’t he get sued for stealing the algorithm? There’s nothing really special about procedural generation, including theirs. It’s part of what makes NMS so soulless, even now. They just did it on a nonsensical and wasteful scale just so they could tout something.

I fully exit/quit any game like that after each session. I find that’s the best way to deal with them.

I’ve had consistently bad experiences using quick resume with any game that has a substantial online component. If I play a bunch of Halo Infinite campaign, turn off my console, and quick resume it later with the intent of doing some multiplayer, it always fails to connect to the servers and I’m forced to manually

How did he do it? A perfect combination of Mountain Dew and mozzarella. Just the right amount of grease on the joystick.

Now playing

PAIN the forgotten PS3 game was better, but it will probably never be re-released because it would be a licensing nightmare.

I assume you worked 20 years in the PR-department of EA?

The card system is actually what makes this game so much more fun. Once you start unlocking the later cards, you can start making some really fun builds that cater to your own playstyle. Its an RPG mechanic so I can see why people who just want to shoot zombies might not like it though.

Oh man really? I mean, I love my Vita, but that thing is only like 10% more comfortable than a Switch. I think the grips on the SD look way better. (Obviously I have to wait and see how they feel for another.... 7-10 months, but still)
