This is exactly the kind of reverse justification that encourages companies to make shitty micro transaction filled, always online DRM riddled, GaaS, Freemium, pay-to-win, bullshit.

Let’s recap what you’ve actually said.

Dude, you can like and dislike whatever games you want.  But you have to let this go and grasp that you can’t speak for what everyone else enjoys or is looking forward to.  You don’t decide what is or isn’t lackluster.

Adding it to PC Game Pass isn’t a big enough deal to call this a good month.

A 4 year old game you can get for 10 bucks brand new?

Charles Martinet would’ve been absolutely acceptable.

He looks like a shitty magician, and the kind of guy that hits on barely legal waitresses at Applebees.

Is American Nightmare good?

It’s really rough to be a modder for games that don’t include official support or if you’re doing things on the margins of IP law (like up-porting old games, etc).

I read their comments. Their replies are definitely frustratingly corporate and it’s incredibly annoying that they haven’t considered unionizing -- OR EVEN just looking at what Insomniac has done, but there are some undeniably true tidbits in there.

It’s not idiotic just because you aren’t smart enough to understand it.

Bet Picasso would be thrilled to know his works are now on par with a barely working Java executable

Could be that the largest military conflicts of the last 2 decades that the West have been involved in were all against Arabs. Those wars may not have been justified, but we were not fighting generic dudes in ski masks and grey camo.

Microsoft is worth literal magnitudes more money than Sony.  If they want to squeeze Sony for creating such a walled garden last generation, they can afford to bleed it for a long time if it hurts Sony (and it will)

You’re just... wrong. Naughty Dog and Insomniac were independent. Until they were acquired. This is no different.

Ah yes the great narrative conspiracy of a video game press conference.

As someone who has an entire large room full of original hardware in various states of modding to work with modern displays ... no. Those things are ticking time bombs, and original hardware in general is going to fail eventually.

Emulation is the path forward, for better or worse, and luckily hardware-based FPGA

Ah, my mistake, I didn’t realize that “maybe ever” had such a short shelf life.

Oh phew, I was worried they’d finally be announcing Bad Company 3 like literally EVERY BATTLEFIELD FAN HAS BEEN ASKING FOR OVER 10 YEARS!

You learned nothing from the pandemic, apparently.... Even in the most obvious times, humans never fail to be extremely shitty to each other
