Haha, new consoles were at the contingent on getting straight A’s in my report card and I was a terrible student. Until I got a part-time job, the consoles I owned were at the mercy of my parents. And by the time I got that job... the Dreamcast was already dead :(

This seems like a silly take. Sony just showed us their console a couple weeks ago. We’ve been getting MS details on SBSX for basically a year. MS is in a good place. 

We’re still months out from launch. Sony dropped news about whole bunch of games and has then been pretty quiet for a few weeks. I think it’s too early to say MS have “fumbled” anything. Sony has a bunch of nice, but largely unsurprising, games announced. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s similar with MS. …

The Dreamcast version in particular was amazing; full draw distance AND more music (instead of a track only on lap 3, you'd get three different sections of a piece like Duel of the Fates)
